If we dont give 60 m euro , madrid will get him , actually his price is 40 m euro but now bayern never wants to sell him under 60 m euro

Dream on. I've been trying that for several days now and it's given me sleepless nights and I now have a lazy right eye.

For the same price I would rather have Zlatan than Ribery, providing that Eto'o stays. A Messi-Zlatan/Eto'o trident playing in a 1-2 setup would be much more potent than with Ribery:

1. More freedom for Messi to escape marking, exploit the weakness of the opposition's defense and capitalize on the huge holes created by the 2 CF
2. A better scoring chances conversion rate
3. Impracticality of man marking by the opposition
4. The capacity to backtrack and assist in defense without leaving a gap upfront
5. With the possession of good attacking fullbacks (Alves-Zhirkov) + Messi + Eto & Zlatan's capability to play on both wings; the loss in breadth would be negligible if at all

That wouldn't be a trident anymore. And I'm sure we wouldn't change the legendary 433 to accommodate two big egos.

Do you need to post about your 'famous' 1-2 formation in EVERY post?
All of it is assumption, and assumption is the mother of all f'ups.
What Barca do currently works and works well, if it's not broke don't fix it.

ribery price is so ridiculously high.. i do not even want him... madrid can have him i would rather have ibra.. we do not even really use conventional wingers so i am not sure how ribery would even do

Well, we heard the same thing a couple of years ago when we won La Liga & CL: If it ain't broken don't fix it. & IMO there was a lot of reasons to feel that way, we had a very young squad that was already the best in the world, we had won everything and the future looked even brighter. Xavi was absent for most of the season (6 months) yet we had won everything even without him, R10 was the best player in the world, Messi was already blossoming into something special and Iniesta was not far behind. But look what happened!!

My points are not assumptions as I am not the 1st to suggest playing with such a formation. Milan had already achieved some fantastic results with it a couple of years back, & Spain implemented it when it won the Euro 2008. Not to mention that we had we played with a very similar variant during our 6-2 against Madrid and the CLF; clearly it seems that we f'up when we did so :hooray:

Im not saying we don't change formations depending on particular opposition, im saying we genrally still stick to playing what we currently play, the Barca way.
Yea the same things were heard a few years ago but what went wrong wasn't to do with tactics implemented, it was to do with virtually no reinforcment throughout the entire squad. Even though the Treble was achieved everybody agrees that the squad needs reinforced.

Pep will play the way he makes Barca play, so there's absolutely no point in you banging on about how much more powerful Barca would be playing this formation your spouting all over the place on a Barca forum. Ok you think we'd be better with that style, we get it. Now hush up about it. We don't need to read it in every post you write from 'Player Chat' to 'FCBarcelona News'.
