The best part about him coming back, is I can already hear is fans saying the 7-0 team really missed him and he's improved the team massively since coming back.

He absolutely should improve the team, also massively... and that's coming from someone who really doesn't care about him at all.

You're welcome
I trust Flick with player selection. I expect Frenkie to substantially improve team, but if not trust Flick to act accordingly.

He certainly will not improve the team massively, he will come into a well oiled machine and play well, like he always does.

But when shit starts hitting the fan, we know how that does.

He plays well when the team plays well, Rarely the other way around.

Hope he can do well and enhance the team. His return will likely see the return of jammy too and the de Jong wars.

His problem isn't really technical it's really just mental. He's too soft and afraid with his passes and lazy in defense. Just lacks that intensity and confidence that for example raphi ha has developed recently.

I hope flick can wake him up and light a fire under his ass

Right now he is well behind Casado as starting DM.
He will be resting him for the difficult games
Frenkie if he returns to his pre 23/24 form will be a nailed on starter. He's vastly more talented than Casado and I imagine the club being in a better spot will help him as well. Also disagree with Jamrock, "playing well when the team plays well" is not a bad thing. It applies to 99.9% of players and 99.99% of all midfielders.

Everyone has looked a lot better under Flick and I’d expect De Jong to be no different. It’s probably the last chance for him at the club before a sale/runs his contract down.

He’s obviously been out a long while so will probably take him a number of games to get up to speed anyway but it would be very harsh on Casado to get dropped to the bench.
