Frenkie, Pique, Lenglet, and Stegen, were the snakes that went to Bartomeu BEHIND THEIR TEAMMATES BACK to negotiate new contracts with pay rise in exchange for lower salaries in 19/20 20/21, instead of accepting simple deferred payments like it happend with all the rest

Bartomeu was a criminal who had no business to do anything like that months before the elections.
But they were the snakes
NEVER FORGET

Aye 'snakes'... or they were the ones that helped the club out when others would not with their contracts.

Also it benefited the club to extend FDJ and Lenglet for example as it decreased amortisation in those years also as opposed to getting the money after contract was completed.

Again.. there is no 'criminality' to it.. just more shite talk from Laporta board trying to pressure players.. did not work as per usual.. and guess what.. nothing more said.

'helped the club'
Poor gullible fanboy...

They took advantage of an idiot in charge, by getting longer contracts with a big pay rise OVERALL.
Others got simple deferrals, they should have gotten the same treatment

Although I always critize Laporta's wrongdoings, he is spot on on that
Criminal Bartomeu had no business do any contract renewals just before elections.

They did help the club for those years..

Simple.

Crying 'criminality' when dont have clue what talking about adds nothing.

Like Laporta signs players just before elections or Laporta puts players on contracts that will increase after he is gone?

Bit rich for him to complain.

Anyway that was not his complaint it was more about he structure and back heavy contracts like that being allowed... the use 'criminality' appealed to the usual but fact players ignored it and it was another baseless threat.

When Laporta signed players before the elections? Are you referring to 2010 or so?
Old stuff

The financial state of the club in 2020 was known to everybody and their mother.
Bartomeu had absolutely no ethical grouding to do any renewal. That's why he is a criminal.
He pushed off his shoulders a current problem, by burdening the club more deeply into the future.
I don't know about the legal ground, I am not a lawyer. I guess if there was any bit of illegality, Laporta would have moved on with suing.

In any case, the point is if FDJ gets transferred out tomorrow the club legally owes him 0, like with every other transfer.
He won't agree, but that's the case

Yes obviously 2010... he has done the same so for him to moan about how others act before an election is pure hypocirsy even if he had a point.

So Bartomeu could agree 'deferrals' as long as not built into a contract.. is that the argument?

I actually agree those contracts should not be allowed and now largely are not due to way FFP is regulated and contracts have to be accepted over multiple years...not criminal though and if Laporta would be doing it now if he could without a doubt.

Try to do it now and FFP would apply an annual salary anyway in similar way did for Felix.

Point is FDJ has the power to refuse to be transferred out.. and can set the conditions of asking for his deferred salary or wont go.

What the club 'legally' owe him is irrelevant as he has that final say. Legally they have to pay him it in his agreed contract.. unless he agrees otherwise.

Yes, that's why the best solution now for the club is send him to the stands and let him train individually.
Last chance is if he agrees to get transferred next summer.
If not...

It absolutely achieves nothing.. hence why no one at club will even entertain that idea.

They cant him put him to train alone either without breaching his contract... not that they would want to.

There is no club out there that will try to force a player that so easily improves the first team to leave as wont renew.

Let's be fair. 37 million is the salary taking into account deferred payments.

Without taking into account deferred payments, his salary is 20 or just over a million euros.

Is this salary fair? No, of course not.

Valverde receives 16 million in Real Madrid, and this is a very fresh contract. Compare their level of influence on the game.

Either way, Frankie isn't going anywhere. He will wait until the end of his contract and then join the new club, receiving a signing bonus. The only way out is to provoke fans - at home, during walks, etc. I'm not advocating this, but this is the only way to influence the player under such circumstances.

Here is a solution...

Renew FDJ contract for another 3 years past 2026.. reduces amortised cost by around by around 6/7m a season.

Agree to pay him 15m a season.. which is his agreed contract without the 4m or so deferred salary due in next two.

So still owe him 8m deferred salary.

Tell Frenkly that he will have a release clause of 20m in 2026 and of that 8m will go to him for deferred salary and the other 12m or so is to prevent a loss on books from amortised cost.

Everyones a winner.. save 22m or so for FFP in next 2 years and Frenkie leaves with no loss on books in 2026 to wherever he so pleases.

Genius.
