That is all nonsense as those players were bought largely for what they did in CL and for national team much more so than what they did domestically for Ajax.

Sell him if you want, but it doesn't matter if they bring in Kessie, Tchouam?ni or someone else.

As long as you have a clueless manager like Koeman any player you bring in will underperform.

Not like we're likely getting any of that top talent anyway with no money, a shit project and all the other issues surrounding the club.

There's only 1 category of players that would work to a great degree under Koeman. It's absolutely top-tier galactic players like 2014-2016 Neymar, Ronaldinho, prime Messi.

We're talking insane level from Rivaldo/Eto'o up.

If we had a line-up of Rivaldo - Eto'o - Messi, we would've won this game 3-1 comfortably.

Many clubs employ this system. They know how to hide their star players weaknesses in easier leagues and showcase them. Sancho who stacked up goals and assists for fun with Dortmund made MU spend 80 mil on him for him to get benched a few games in.

Even Luuk De Jong scored 20+ goals in that trash league and he flopped every time he left there, coincidentally. Benched and thrown out in Gladbach, benched and thrown out in Newcastle, Benched and thrown out in Sevilla and now benched and thrown out in Barca. Somehow he scored 25 goals in one season there.

So did Depay. But outside there he flopped with Man U and was a pen merchant with Lyon who mostly assisted rather than scored goals. It is a very deceiving league which is easy to get stats in.

It's like that in general.

Only generational type of players would succeed and consistently perform under these circumstances. 99% players in the world doesn't belong to that category.

We had one such player and he's gone

It's like that in general, but some managers can line up with Origi and Shaqiri and beat you 4-0 while you have Messi and Suarez. The worse the manager the better the players have to be, but it's true that for any manager to work great you need a certain standard of quality.

He was poor today regardless of the system but FDJ at Ajax and Netherlands thrived in team that had lots of movement/energy and he could drive up park with ball and players open up pitch with options.

At Barca he gets it and moves forward and near enough all the players just stop and watch him do it.

Sell him if not going to play to his strengths as got too much value and too high a salary to play way is at moment.

Would still be almost all top clubs in for him and get 80m+ would think.

I mean look at Man Utd.

They have some very good players, but Solskj?r is way out of his depth. There's no system, no cohesiveness. They win purely on individual brilliance. As did Barca, but we barely have that individual brilliance left which is why our games tend to be stale and boring and we struggle to score and win.

Koeman is way out of his depth just like OGS.
