The way I read these words is that Frenkie has a limited time to prove himself really useful - he needs to be crucial and score goals etc and if he is not, then maybe he should go elsewhere. I think Xavi will try his best to help Frenkie play the way he needs to, but is otherwise fine with letting him go.
