Frenkie de Jong is in a ‘guerilla war’ with the Barça board, while his relationship with Deco and Joan Laporta is also strained. —

Until when these idiots (Laporta and Deco) would realize that there is no coming back with him?
He won't cooperate peacefully
Only way to go is take the hard but effective road of placing him permanently in the stands and individual training

(that's only transfer price, not wages)
He will always be the last FAILED Bartomeu big money signing
Money that should have never been given for him at the time..

Only Neymar lived up to his money...

The only leverage the club holds on him is legacy. If he leaves on a free, he’ll tarnish his reputation and status with the club forever. He’ll be in the same category as Dembele.

He has no legacy at the club so I doubt it matters to him.

Nah.
This club supports it's former players a lot, even if they are not true legends of the club. Coaching, SD, agents etc, we like to build a network around those in various capacities.

Being a former player on a good term is important. A legacy here isn't about being a legend or historical player, but being on good terms with the club and fans. I think if he leaves for a fee he will achieve that.

Not talking about SD and all that.

He has no legacy at the club, because the vast majority of fans have turn on him, not just because of his wages, but because he's never really preformed for the club on a consistent basis.

Maintaining a good relationship with those who are at the club now doesn't really matter because they won't be once he retires, for him to fill any spots.

He should do well against a German team, that's a league Tailor made for him.
Isn't he a very Barca style midfielder in terms of profile? The ball carrying, press resistance, passing, touch, technique, etc.......

German League is fast paced and physical. Similar to the PL. Not sure that suits FDJ.
