I'm curious....who would you hire???
Klopp not available, Tuchel and Naglesmann are now national team coaches. Motta has Juventus in 6th position. Amorim has just joined Utd. Pep has 5 losses in a row. This,at a club where he's spent a huge amount of money.
Who's left???

Changing the coach is all well and good but is it the ONLY factor holding the club back?
If people want a pragmatic coach, I believe Allegri is available 🤣

We badly need a speedy LW, it doesn’t show much when Lamine Yamal is playing as it’s easy to switch back and forth as he’s the main danger on RW opposition teams pay most attention to. When he isn’t playing we basically have two wings when no great danger and much easier to cover from average teams. So with a pacey LW that’ll solve the issue.

Wow...some members infuse the pages of this thread with ugly defeatism, in what might still be a brilliant treble trophy season.

It is two match setback and that’s all there is to it. Hitting a snag. Optically, the last two matches could have been and should have been 4 points at least. Logically, if the two matches were replayed over the next 7 days, this miserable output of 1 point would be highly unlikely. 4 points, at the least, would be expected.

In the grand scheme of things, this is still an exciting campaign. Ultra offensive. No risk, no reward mentality...Wonderful battles won, with Bavarians and especially humbling Real Madrid at their own lair.
For as long as the trophies are for grabs, there's no reason to bitch and moan and take those two unfortunate stalemates on the chest and move on.

The Osasuna och Sociedad matches are on Flick, but now I'm starting to question if we'll run everybody over like we did up until now.
We need better wingbacks and wingers backups, maybe even a striker backup - that we knew before the season started, but we were still amazed Flick made it work. But now when Yamal is out all the cracks starts to show.

You realize the previous manager won a league title with a near impeccable record? Something like 2.5 points per game? So far he has to at least rise up to that challenge. Then we can talk about doing more and more and establishing some sort of legacy here.

Take it step by step. Beating likes of Madrid and Bayern is amazing. Being outplayed badly by likes of Celta and Sociedad is poor. Those are midtable teams currently, and even if they are hard games away from home, to win things, you are expected to win these games.
Yeah I know. I am not trying to look for any excuses about these 2 games and I said constructive criticism after them is well deserved and needed. Anything more than that; like questioning his system that brought us the best football and best results in almost a decade, dismissing him as a manager and losing faith in our season, is just unnecessary panic and loser mentality that, if expands to players as well, can actually threaten the outcome of our season.

He has already won some very tough away games: Villarreal, Valencia, Girona, Rayo... In some of them we were not on our best level, but managed to escape with a win. He knows those games need to be won, and so do the players. I dont think our problem in either games was underestimating the opponent.

None of our problems is unsolvable. More players are yet to return from injury and we are in a very good position both in league and CL. I am saying we should appreciate this, considering the team available, and not jump on him after first rough patch of form.

But who, I can't really see anybody fit in...

Players got too comfortable after amazing run. Happens all the time.

Maybe Flick should have taken a more strict approach at first signs of complacency. He probably relied on professionalism and work ethic he was used to in Germany.

This is Spain, however. With Barca team getting massive media attention where they make players superstars. Ferran was depicted as one as well. Go figure.

And Barca official media channels have been complicit in this as well.

Don't think is as much complacency but more a physical (and consequently mental) tiredness which is even more worrisome considering we are still only in November. Most starters already have a lot of football in their legs.

“ Hansi Flick? We will see at the end of the season, but it’s hard to be the best club in the world without Barca DNA”
