I don't care about the results. What matters to me is whether I enjoy the quality of the game when I turn on a Barcelona match here and now.

I remember the feeling with which I watched most of Barcelona's matches during Xavi's championship season.

Thank you. I don't lie down with memories of that La Liga title.

Moreover, thinking of Pep's Barcelona, my memories are only of the quality of play. Titles are just a nice bonus.
This. This is the philosophy of this club, it seems pretty strange to me that a very little number of fans actually care about the way football is played and doesn't just judge the results. That is what I would expect to see in Italian clubs or Real Madrid whose ultimate perception of football is reduced to trophies. But not in a club like Barça whose history is based on the beauty of the game.

Of course results are important but if there are signs of improvement it will eventually come. If football is beautiful and we are satisfied with it, if there is a fighting spirit and players also want to win the games there is nothing to panic about and no reason to sack the manager as some here suggest.

You're lying to yourself. We all watched the game vs Atletico. Even this game Getafe was actually pretty good as we outplayed our opponent by a very wide margin but the result was what was lacking.

Yes.

We had some beautiful LL games, with tremendous football: Valladolid, Girona, Villareal, Sevilla, Mallorca, Leganes, Atletico...
Apart from the 0-4 at the Bernabeau

People are just reactionary and in hysteric mode

What does it help to "outplay the opponent" if we don't win?

Atleti was the only game I enjoyed, others we were better but not something I would really enjoy tbf.

And then there were likes of Sociedad, Osasuna etc where we just didn't show up.

Anyway, unless Flick absolutely bombs our Champions League campaign he'll get another season with a signing or two in the summer as well. Even if we end 3rd in the league.

Since there's no Pep Guardiola with his sanity intact or Klopp with renewed energy walking through that door.

Yeah, this is fair. Too much inconsistency.

You can get away with playing shit football at Barca if you win, but not long-term. Probably 1-2 years max.

Similarly you're not going to last very long if you play really well, but have nothing to show for.

Flick answered this question already in his last presser after the Betis game

'we are a YOUNG team' he said, implying that the inconsistency is part of the process of a young group of players maturing

Pretty much how I see it too. Both buy you a bit of time, but that's all they do.
