France will not win anything nor is Ben Arfa anything "out of this world" as you have claimed before. There is a reason why he has only played 8 games for Les Bleus at the age of 25 and plays for Newcastle....
Another player who was massively hyped when he was young and has failed to reach the level the media bet he would.

Sure he may have some discipline problems but you can't completely blame him for him not living up to those expectations (yes, to expectations as he can still reach a decent level).

There are certain external things that contributed to HBA's form throughout his career. I think he has not yet peeked and hopefully he will reach a form that he did not reach yet, he is a beautiful player that is the victim of the pressure of modern day football that prevents players with a certain attitude to succeed, simply because each human needs a different approach to reach their best.

People underestimate how much the mental state influences players, and as long as I know throughout his career he had doubters in front of his face.

Anyway I hope the player get the trust to show us his best, simply because I love his style and he showed glimpses of brilliance of the greats.

He's a fantastic player and after he got a run in the Newcastle team this season he has certainly been reaching the level media bet he would. You need only look at the goals he has been scoring this season and some of his plays. The name MESSI has been mentioned multiple times by football comentators and pundits when describing what he does on the pitch. If he is managing that as he fights back to his best I wouldn't say he's failed as a player.

you are clearly letting your hate blind you to what is a fantastic fantastic player.

he is only 25 years old, he's had a year and a half out of football due to a broken leg in 2 places. Footballers are supposed to reach their peak at 28-30 so he has plenty of time realize all of his potential.

what suggests to you Neymar has a bad attitude? 1 incident with his manager 2 years ago and nothing since or before that incident? his haircut? just please..........think before making such judgements and then talking with rhetoric as if it is written in stone that he will destroy Barca dressing room etc etc.

I knew that you would like it. It's also funny because it's true.

"Hatem Ben Arfa" :

Yes, Hatem Ben Arfa is a talented player nobody doubted that but your other claims have no place on earth. It's getting pretty embarrassing for you but I guess that's better than no attention at all.

Come on...

Back with Les Blues almost two years after his last appearance, Hatem Ben Arfa played an hour against Iceland but was one of the best French players, even the best on the pitch. The Newcastle player has certainly validated his ticket to the Euro.

Of the four players replaced in the 59th minute by Laurent Blanc, Hatem Ben Arfa was by far the most cheered by the audience of Hainaut. And it is well deserved. Back in the France team almost two years after his last appearance, August 11, 2010 in Norway, the Newcastle player was one of the best or the best French in the field tonight. What finally convinced Laurent Blanc to take him with him to the Euro. We do not see in any case, tonight, what would stop him from being in the 23 ... For sixty minutes, while Iceland realized the perfect shot in leading 2-0, he was the only one to blow a perfect defense rallied behind. Sometimes with Karim Benzema, sometimes with Mathieu Debuchy, "HBA" combined a lot on its right wing, giving life a living hell for his vis-à-vis Valgardsson.

Complicity with Benzema
Author of a remarkable late season with Newcastle, it was felt more than ever in the legs and, especially, particularly in confidence. Sure, he still has something to clean up his game, especially in the last act, where he sometimes made the wrong choice, but he is the only one to bring a little creativity offensively and have created the danger in oppositions sixteen meters. Score reduction of Mathieu Debuchy has just been one of his forays on the left (52nd). He was mostly seen very close to that with Karim Benzema in the past, he had some disagreements. Ben Arfa, who perfectly used his presence on the right side to transplant on his left foot, has consistently sought to play with him. With a little more success, he might even have registered his third goal in the Blues, but his shot missed the dangerous part of a nothing (47th). Ben Arfa's good, very twirling to review!

Did not watch the game, did he really played good?

Like, will he be a starter on the euros???

France were poor 1st half, but apparently he was thier best player which was not too hard given how bad France were playing. He misplaced an early pass or two and perhaps chose the wrong option once but some of his link-up play with Benzema and Debuchy was nice to see. He was playing for the TEAM and being very Un-selfish. I switched to watch Sport Aid so didn't watch the match in full. I'm dowloading the full match now.

Perhaps Benzema was man of the match in my humble opinion though.

Please, don't use an original French article and then translate it with the help of Google Translate. Razor is doing the same with La Gazzetta articles concerning Sfinter. Easy to say that the end result is not pretty.

French is one of the world's most widespread langauges and last time I checked people in England learn it from a young age. I am sure they would appreciate reading the actual article, although written in French, rather than the result of a inaccurate Google translation.

And no, Ben Arfa was nothing special tonight. Played 58 minutes before he was subbed off when the result was 1-2. After his substitution France scored two goals and won the game.

If a decent game by him results in such a reaction I look forward to seeing your reaction when he actually scores an important goal.

Benzema man of the match? Did he do anything else than missing opportunities?

It was Giroud and Ribéry who turned the match around. Although both played less than 25 minutes they were the best together with Debuchy.

tell that to the French media.

I did 5 years of French in school. Forgot most of it :) Only comes back to me when I'm holidaying in France.

what reaction? me posting an article with a smiley face at the end of it.

He looked promising in his link up play. Nothing spectacular today I agree.

I still stand by my earlier words. My pick for player of Euro2012.
