this formation is the least productive, so far this season.
it seems it effects all three players negatively. i'm not blaming any player, but its so ineffective. henry and zlatan, if they're not bumping into each other, their movements are totally offbeat. at their age, they both lack speed, and fast maneuvers.

can this formation work? how? if it can't then what are the options?

I think I agree with you.
Best formations, imo, are, (right to left) Messi - Ibra - Bojan
and Messi - Henry - Bojan
with Pedro coming on as a supersub whenever needed. There's already a poll thread though btw in the polls section, check it out unless you already have.

both bojan and pedro, make these oldies look good.

my opinion is we should keep these two away from one another, even if you're gonna start them together, bring messi in the middle. can you think of one assist they have between them? ibra+henry?

Henry does not deserve his place. Even playing badly, Ibrahimovic helps Pedro with the space he create.

Pedro, Ibrahimovic & Messi is effective.

yea the whole idea of a striker that can hold-up play is for the wingers/AM to take advantage of it.
thats the key to pedro's success, his movements and of-course his finishing. thats something henry and ibra can't seem to do for one another.

We just need a more unpredictable LW. Henry is too predictable. Pedro can offer us something different but he is going to get found out in a bit...

This is the formation that's had the most minutes right? I hate to point fingers, but Henry must go.... Ibra is who we need, and Messi is untouchable.

For me, I prefer Bojan as a starter over Pedro. I feel he's more productive at LW considering his limited time there because of the injury + Pedro's goalstreak. He should've had that goal in the Copa game against Sevilla, and he's been amazing in those friendlies, Catalonia (at LW), Copa games (at LW), and Tenerife (at LW). Cruyff starts him over the other Catalonians and trusts him unconditionally. I see no reason why Pep would place him behind Henry, unless he wants his growth curve to start later so he won't have the Raul fall.

I'm still not convinced at Pedro as a starter though. He sure may have a lot of goals, but most of them were either from the first 20-25 minutes of the game or as a substitute, at least from what I've seen.... That's why I consider him the best super sub known to man. To me, he's a sitting duck as a starter with the exception being the Inter game. Feel free to argue my opinion though. It's an opinion ya know...

Then again, I still feel that Ibra's better upfield than at leading the trident...

It's very easy...

Henry & Ibra sub each other..
Pedro & Bojan on the left...

everyone is happy
when Henry played as a CF when Ibra was out it was his best game this season

I think we should keep it for now. Henry is starting to get his form back slowly and all he needs is one goal and then he will prove us all wrong like he did last season. Ive always felt that these three players didnt have enough time to gel together and get to know each other better on the field, they play a match together and then one of them misses the next month. Lets wait and see how they play in the next 2/3 games and if it still didnt work Id like to see Bojan/Pedro on the left BUT NOT INIESTA. Id even want Pinto there but not Iniesta ffs. Iniesta + Xavi in the middle = We won the midfield battle by a mile

Pretty much agrees on everything here. Give them 2-3 more games and then lets see.

Agreed. I admire Pep's patience (Ibra) and loyalty (Henry) but I would also like Pedro and Bojan (particularly) feature more.

Pedro-Ibra-Messi is the way to go. Henry's been disappointing this year, he's lost pace and the surprise factor he recovered last year. Pedro is young and can only get better, his latest performances are starter material.

I agree with you totally. Pedro is far more effective than Henry at the moment, and considering Pedro's age, it's the best option to put him in the starting 11.
