I hope the board ordered to show him on the pitch, so they can sell them soon - and then come up with other options (alenia?) or someone with more umpf then raki.

We will never win the CL(again) with Raki and Busi playing in our midfield. Maybe with one of them but not both. We are doomed If they are our starters. Arthur needs to get his shit together and start playing.

Textbook game in which he shouldn't start. But the problem is with our midfield settup in general. We need more control in away games. And it's obvious he can't contribute to that end. We have two players who can. Arthur and alena.

Both Busi and Raki were horrible yesterday. Problem is that apart from De Jong we don't have a young midfielder who is on the required level for Barca. We all thought that Arthur will be the solution but it seam he is still far from that and who knows if he'll ever be. It seams we'll again need to go shopping.

The likes of Rakitic and this current version of Busi are doing a great job proving that you probably wouldn't lose much in playing kids.

The kids could be overwhelmed and make mistakes but hey at least they could still show what they could offer even though they are inexperienced while the other two don't have many excuses at all. Both are old both cannot deal with pressing sides and both have mistakes in them despite being much more experienced.

I cannot wait until this guy finally does everyone a favor and leaves. Tired of him crying in the media when he gets benched and begging for contract renewals and acting fucking arrogant as hell. And I'm also tired of these cock suckers in the Catalan Media white-knighting this guy like he's some sort of Midfield god.

Yes we do he plays for Barça B every week and the other guy sits in the stands every day. While Rakitic stinks up the joint.

Fun fact: In our last 3 games with Rakitic as starter we’ve conceded 5 goals.

#defensiveliability

Would've obviously been 15+ without the defensive beast :rakitic:

The (deserved) shitting on Rakitic aside the last few games also showed how poor the midfield is planned in general especially if we take Valverde into consideration. They somehow managed to have too many players (let's not forget Roberto was also supposed to play as a CM at the start of the season) while simultaneously having no combination of midfielders that looks actually good enough.

Even just one additional young and good midfielder would improve the team so much, it's painful to watch the old turtles every week and Roberto/Alena also aren't looking too promising as starters.

Sorry mate but Alena and Puig are nowhere near Barca starting 11 material, at least not at the moment. This reminds me of people claiming that Deulofeu is the next big thing, or Miranda (after 18/19 preseason) or Munir. Even Alex Grimaldo who was apparently next Jordi Alba still has ZERO appearance for Spain NT. If Alena and Puig were pure class they would have gotten their minutes by now. Even Carles Perez is showing much more than those two and that says a lot. Alena will probably end up as a squad player for some mid table team and with Puig even that is questionable. I honestly hope that I am wrong but I am 90% sure non of the two will succeed here.

The most hilarious comments are from people who are claiming that loans are bad because none of our young players succeeded out of this club. Well maybe that's because we always send on loan players in whom we actually don't believe at all. Loaning players is not the problem but quality of those players is. As you can see Rafinha was more than OK for Celta and even Inter and he was only a squad player here so what do you expect from players who even can't play for FC Schalke or teams from that tier. On the other side just look at Dani Olmo and how he improved in a club who plays totally different football than Barca. Not everything that comes from La Masia is good and even Valverde wouldn't deliberately play worse midfielders just because he hates Alena or Puig. Just accept that they are not good enough and move on.

As I said before if Alena and Puig can't bench current versions of Busi, Raki and Vidal (who are being regularly outplayed by any half decent midfield) than I have nothing more to say about those two.

well thats load of shit, how can they bench ivan if fucking EV has a hard on for Ivan,
he never playes Alena and in the last game he played Alena for 10 min, and he was 10
times better than Ivan, yet the hard on for ivan is still going and he will start the next game.

10 times better? Maybe even 11 times. This is exactly what I was talking about. "Overreaction force" regarding Alena's performances is strong with you! EV actually benched Ivan until Arthur got STD so again I can only hear biased shit without actual facts. If you can clearly show in which parts of the game is Alena 10 times better than Rakitic than post those numbers otherwise stop writing nonsense.

None of us have problem with La Masia kids and basically 99% of us don't think that Raki should be a starter for Barca anymore but saying that Alena showed 10 times more is just a total bullshit and nothing more.

As I already said only De Jong showed class from our young players. On the other side Arthur showed glimpses of brilliance but he is too inconsistent and has a huge problem with stamina. He also didn't improve at all during the last year and a half.
