Jordi Alba

Should still push him out of the club regardless of Bernardo.

I also don't like him but this is not how big clubs should behave. If Xavi and the board wanted to get rid of him they should have told him that 2 months ago and not during the last day of transfer window.

Maybe they have seen him fooling around in trainings? He did start vs Vallecano.

Oh, it is definitely something that has tentatively been discussed. No way they spring up agreeing a loan move without a discussion over the past months/weeks about this option.

The surprise is more than likely because it actually happened.

Don't expect it to conclude, though to be fair it is a good little move for Alba for a season. Italian football would make him look great because let's be honest, he was at a very good level under Xavi last season.

If Xavi communicates clearly that Alba is not first option (or even second if Malfonso comes in) for this season, then there is a small chance he takes it. Alba will also know that without playing he might miss out on LE's world cup selection. He isn't Luis Enrique's favourite player in the best of form let alone with months not playing, so that could play into our hands.

His effort was never in question. Still maintain we should have handled this better but still remains to be seen if he moves as it's difficult to move that quickly for veterans.

Surprisingly I agree with that.
Alba has been great servant for this club, forced a move back to us for discount price and has gave his best for a decade.

Physically he is only second to Messi among culers in keeping himself in shape at that age (Messi only have edge due to the mileage he had on his body).

He has punchable face, and some dirty acts on the pitch, along with some bad performance (Anfield) which causes a bit of mad hate towards him

Would have loved the end of his time to be better than this, but even Messi didn't have proper end

Someone mentioned on Twitter that 40% is a 5 million net salary, is that remotely possible? This guy is on gross 24 million(12 mil net) a season? That would be insane. Barto is special to give a guy like him a 4-5 year contract at his age.. and for that salary.

Alba had the lowest salary among starters for 7 years, in 2018 Bartomeu decided to "correct " things with him and oay him for the past year by a big contract in 2019 (at age of 30)
He also deferred wages last year

Not enough of an excuse, sorry...
He is a full back, and its ABSOLUTELY scandalous for any fullback to get 20m gross per year.
Couldn't care less if he had the lowest salary among starters, he is a full back after all, the worst paid position on the pitch

Deferred wages?
After several months of pretending everything is ok when Laporta has asked help from the start, with the club unable to register any signing and Messi gone because of that.
How big his heart and the love for the club is!

Nothing to do with his face.
He hides his serious FLAWS behind his good technique on the ball and cross.
He is one of the biggest defensive LIABILITIES I have ever seen in my life at top tier of football. Only Trent AA comes close to him.

Then, that's not all.
Because he is the biggest MENTAL MIDGET this squad has.
Anfield is just the cherry on top. You can't start Alba in any important game in a season.
He is the definition of a psychologically broken player.
Hence, also a bad influence to youngsters because of that

Seems like this is a "just in case" type of agreement.

Inter needs to sell Gosens (deal is broke currently) and they are trying to get Sosa as replacement.

Inter made agreement with us just in case they needed it, the source actually didn't want it leaked now.

So for it to happen:
1-Gosens need to go (likely to Leverkusen)
2-Sosa deal to Inter fails
3-Alba needs to approve the deal
