Defensively underrated. It's that, he is small and looks somewhat weak so he isn't a great defender assumption. He is no Abidal, but he is quite alright if you ask me.

Yea so far he has been good defensively. He hustles better than Pedro and is just a nuisance to opposition RWs. People were saying he's a defensive liability, others said that he's good enough to adapt his game and I believe that to be the case. If he gets instructions to stay back then he does a great job defensively. He is more calm and calculated than Adriano I feel.

So far I am very happy with Alba.
He brings in a lot of energy, which is very important for our pressing style and not the least for maintaining hunger in the squad.
And he already clicked with the system.

I don't know if he'll play vs. Madrid though. I have a certain feeling Tito will prefer Adriano this Sunday.

Prefer Adriano over him. Quicker and poses a greater threat, I feel.

If you think Adriano is quicker than Alba, you are completely insane. Adriano might be a bigger threat to score offensively, but I believe Alba's build-up and speed threat down the left side is more of an asset to the team than Adriano's finishing.

But seriously, Adriano faster than Alba?

Alba's style is much more rooted in the Barca way. He's a much more consistent tiki-taka player, a better crosser (he's got some sexy low crosses), and his positioning is far more solid than Adriano. Though Adriano can give you some great moments of brilliance- it's that Brazilian flair in him- he's often average at both ends.

Both will be very important for us this season, but I'd rather have Alba as the starter.
