Club: RB Leipzig
Date of birth: 23 January 2002 (age 19)
Place of birth: Zagreb, Croatia
Height: 1.85 m (6 ft 1 in)
Position: Centre-back
Foot: left

Really talented young CB who came through Dinamo Zagreb academy. He is very comfortable with the ball in his feet and can also play as a LB. Furthermore, he can play great long balls, is a fine technician and is physically very strong. Josko already has 7 games for Croatian NT. Looks like he has a bright future ahead of him.

He was great for Croatian NT today. What a gem! This kid is only 19y old but plays like a highly experienced player.

so far he seems to be the real deal, let's hope he won't become another Jedvaj

No he won't. This guy is a much bigger talent. His footballing IQ is higher. In addition to that he is a modest and hard working kid. Barca scouting team should monitor this one very closely. If he continues to develop as we all expect, he could fit Barca like a glove.

I see a lot of praise for him.
For now, he is on my list on idiots and players whom I hate from Croatia, together with braindead Rebic and eternal shit of a striker Kramaric.

He'll need 100 good games to compensate for the shit which he made at Euro 2000 in a match against Spain:
2:1 for Spain, his player scored an easy header
3:1 the dumbest fuck up, he was drinking water, the Spain played a somewhat asshole counterattack while the players were drinking water. But still, he was miles from his position and when he caught his players, he was dribbled past as if he is a ghost:

So, miles from a finished product and a sure deal.

Also, I remember his post-match interviews after every match on Euros, and he has some weird: "no big deal, everything is fine, it will be better" type of answers and vibe.

For example, Croatia lost:
Ok, we lost, but we are soooo strong, we will surely win the next match.
We don't win the next match, his answer: Ok, we didn't win, but we are soooo strong, there is no way that we won't win the next match.
He makes tons of mistakes: ok, we lost but it'll get better the next time.

The guy is huge, his physique looks impressive, he has some nice technical skills, but I am not too sure about his concentration and he lacks some aggression.
As Raketa10 said, he is modest, but something is off about him for me.

When you see him, he looks huge with his height, muscles and beard.
But when he speaks, you see a 15 year old shy and modest boy.
I don't know, something is just weird.

So he's another choir boy?

Not a choir boy.
There are levels:
Level 0: Barca DNA choir boy
Level 1: Normal level
Level 2: Brave, combative
Level 3: GOAT bravery

For example, even our bets CBs in the last 30 years were level 2 or 3, like Puyol, Mascherano, Ronald Koeman.
Only Pique was average level/Barca DNA level.
Puyol, Masche and Koeman were not choir boys.

On the other hand, Bartra was an absolute textbook Barca DNA choirboy defender.

I don't see such a huge potentil in him for now.
He has some technical skills which are not common for a tall, huge guy.
But his defending and bravery is not impressive for now.

I always think of this whenever BBZ uses that phrase:

The kid with blond hair (Frenkie Junior) has Barca DNA choirboy traits. The kid with a dark hair is at least trolling while singing.
The trolling kid would probably eat that blond kid alive in a tough match in a CL KO games in the last 10 minutes when the pressure and the stakes are high :rambo:
