Kylian Mbappé

It would have been interesting to see what would happen if the club had put in an offer for him, not that I regret dembele the club as clearly been looking at him for a while and the feeling was that he would always come to us, so I'm not surprised.

But if there were just like this kid is going to be a beast let's not sit and wait like we always do and just try, you never know he would have at least had something to think about.

Mbappe is a smart kid and unlike Neymar i think he wanted the PSG move for more reasons than the $$$. he grew up in Paris iirc so he's probably a fan of the club. my prediction is he'll overshadow Neymar with 2years and become the face of PSG. i do think Mbappe will end up leaving at some stage to try a different league but right now im glad Madrid didn't get their hands on him.

2 more goals and 2 more assist on the season. Believe that puts him at 14/13 through 20 matches.

Damn, those stats are world class for any player, let alone for a 19 year old.
How he's currently playing, one could argue that you guys got him cheap.

Monaco apparently alluded to us doing so and Mbappé obviously talked to Real Madrid and confirmed talking to Pep Guardiola.

In the end he went where he wanted to go. PSG.

Stayed within the league where he can keep growing and don't have to settle as an 18/19 year old in a new league with a new language.

True, on the greater scheme of things, PSG has, perhaps, been the smartest choice for him, at least for the moment. Not only is it a step up which offers Champions League football every year, but also a relatively familiar environment to hone his skills in, compared to an absolute unknown in Spain or England.... Eventually, I'm pretty sure he will make the move, but only when the time is right for him

He probably very likely got more money in PSG than anywhere else.

He's not going to STAY at PSG though is he ??

If we improve as much as I expect with Couthino and Dembele then why not try and entice him ...

And given to the never ending inflation of transfer market, Mbappé's fee will look cheap in future.

after the WC, Dembele, Coutinho and Mbappe will all look like bargains. i don't think it'll be long before we see a player sold for quarter of a billion

He may be a top 10 player already. Yesterday Emery played him at ST and he put on a masterclass against a respectable side in Rennes, showing an ability to seamlessly switch between all three forward positions where Cavani can only play through the middle, and it made tracking PSG's attacking trio practically impossible. He'd show up on the right wing, beat his man, and put in a cross and then in the next sequence he'd be on the left, cutting in, and either playing a pass or putting in a shot on goal. When you think you have that figured out, he plays through the middle and runs off the shoulder of the last defender with blistering pace, or even drops deep and initiates the attack from the midfield with an unplayable run at goal. He's ridiculous.
