He is really good, way faster than Ronaldo ever was and a world class finisher at the age of 18. Of course he won't be playing against farmers no more but I bet he would still score more goals than Ronaldo

Look at the service Ronaldo is getting, put anyone there or in Benzema's position and he will get that many goals, Benzema alone probably missed so many sitters this season that he would be ahead of Ronaldo on goals. My point wasn't that Mbappe would score more goals than Ronaldo because hes that good, but because that team is so superior right now, perfect setup passes from Carvajal and Marcelo all night, even Paco would end up with at least 20 goals in la liga as a striker in RM.

Yeah, more and better quality chances is the best thing about going to a club like Madrid. But with it comes unbelievable pressure, and fans that will whistle and boo under-performing players. All young players eventually go through patches of bad form, and it's hard to recover from a bad season at Madrid.

Staying at Monaco apparently. Good idea for him, especially with the WC next summer.

Supposedly his decision will be announced after the international break...But if this is true, then I can honestly say that this is the best possible choice for him

Not a fan of the site myself, but seems like ********* have prepared a neat, short documentary on him

Smart decision for Mbappe if true but is it also the best decision for Monaco to reject 130M if Madrid was really willing to pay that? I like him and think he could have a great future but there is still a possibility he's a one season wonder and Monaco will lose a lot of money for not selling him now. I know football world is going crazy lately but it's much more likely his price will drop in the following years than going much higher than rumoured 130M. As much as some people expect record transfer fees to go up to close to 200M I think the highest they'll go is about 150M for the next 6-8 years. With Mbappe himself showing a strong preference to play for RM it's also unlikely they could use interest of other 3-4 clubs that could possibly also pay that sum to again drive up his price if he gets injured or has a bad season next year.

Of course it's also possible that Madrid has already reach a pre-agreement with Monaco and also pay them 10-20M to guarantee themselves Mbappe for the future like we did with Neymar so Monaco knows they'll get those agreed 100 or 130M regardless of what happens next season. And with all other players they'll sell this summer they probably also don't need those millions as much and prefer to keep Mbappe "on loan" for another season.

The transfer is happening this summer. Everybody in Madrid is geared up for this kid, selling Morata and James will repay huge part of the Mbappe deal even if it's 150m.

The main reason for these megatransfer fees is the English Premier League TV rights and prizes. All these factors turn a minor club like Huddersfield Town into a big player on the transfer market. And England is the destination where Real Madrid are looking to offload some of its bench players, for over 100m in total.

in total? Wasnt Morata just sold for 73m euros? They'll easily get another great fee for James as well if they want to sell.

Dude, not my intention to ram into you every time, but casting question marks about Verratti and Mbappe, two insanely talented players, wtf ?

Few players have ever been guaranteed NOT to be a one season wonder like Mbappe has. He has been incredibly consistent with zero drawbacks. He can pass, shoot, run, dribble, is mature, has the vision, the off the ball movement, everything.

I don't disagree with the rest of your points...

I meant at least 100m. There is no doubt in my mind Papa Perez could sell Morata for even 90m and James for another 50m and there you have it basically.:papaperez:

Going to go on a limb and say if Mbappe leaves this year to Madrid, City or any big team outside possibly Liverpool or Arsenal, he can say good bye to ever being top tier. He'll just be another kid who had the shot and screwed it all up by moving too fast to a top team.

I've replied about Verratti in his thread.

About Mbappe: maybe one season wonder really wasn't the right term to use but let me explain. I'm not doubting Mbappe's talent but it takes much more than just talent to make a great career. How many 18 years old kids as hyped as Mbappe is now have really make as great career as people expected of them? Really not that many for different reasons. Not to mention that astronomic transfer fee will always put added pressure on him, wherever he goes. Can he carry that for the rest of his career or at least in his next club that will pay crazy money for him? If he won't become at least a top 3 player in the world in future some people will already say he was overpaid,.... I'm not saying he'll totally flop at his next club just that there is very possible he'll never become what people will expect him to based on one great season he had at a very young age.

Personally I think all footballers are overpaid. I would never pay 100M for someone who's good at his job (or is at least supposed to be). But that's another story and I won't go into that. I just think it's very risky to pay that fee for someone who's only played at great level for one season and then hope he'll develop as you expect him to with all extra pressure that high fee will also bring to him. Some players can handle that better, others not. We don't know whether Mbappe will be able to do that. Another factor to consider is how will money and him becoming one of the star players in a great team influence on him? Will he stay focused on football or will he also start to think more about other things? Again, we can only assume his head is in the right place but don't know for sure how he'll react when he'll be put in another situation. Not to even mention injuries that can ruin every player career.

So again, I'm not questioning his talent but just thinking about factors that could potentially make him never reach his full potential as has happened with a lot of talented players before him.
