Explain City being bossed by Lyon at home, the very next day. I'll wait.

Any team can beat another one on a given day. Let's be fair, Ligue 1 is not a very good league. Our teams just lost vs Copenhaguen at home and Astana.

Marseille drew with Limassol (!) and Monaco lost both UCL games too. Lyon drew with Donetsk at home. I mean we see the trend here, our ligue 1 teams kinda suck.

We have good young players (among the best in Europe), but that's it. Every year dozens of our best players leave our league to play abroad, so I have a hard time seeing how we could stay competitive while losing all our best players every year without buying anybody worthy (biggest signing of the year is Golovin in Monaco, hardly a game changing player, that says it all).

Liga or PL would suck the same if best players were leaving every year...

It's not rocket science actually. Best players leaving every year, nobody valuable coming to replace them.

Only way would be rich people injecting money, like they did in PSG. But even in Monaco or Lyon they're here mostly to make more money than they spend, and elsewhere they basically have zero money, so the league will stay bad.

It's ok, I watch Liga and Premier League instead (Liga is a far better football but crowds are nice in PL and it's attacking football).

But stop defending our ligue 1, it hurts me even more remembering what it was before Bosman, when Marseille was basically the best team in Europe in 1992 or 1993.

Back to Mbappe, he needs going abroad too if he doesn't want his progression to get stalled. I'm sure he knows that.

But Ligue 1 or not, he's by far the best young player in the world, that's not even close. His world cup performances were as impressive as his 13 minutes quadruple...

I don't agree with you. I agree with Cavani, Mbappé, Buffon and those that compete in the competition.

If you mean they said Ligue 1 wasn't that bad, then yeah of course they'll say that, what do you want them to say ? "Our league sucks" ? So that their value drops and fans turn on them ? Yeah sure.

I agree with UEFA index, which says Ligue 1 is roughly on par with Portuguese or Russian leagues, which means it's bad compared even to Germany or Italy, and even worse compared to Liga. Maths don't lie.

Then again, it would be hardcore magic if Ligue 1 was the best league while losing their best players every year.

You agree with UEFA index because you're lazy. Bayern and Dortmund are much weaker today than they were 4-5 seasons ago. Marseille, Lyon, Lille, and Monaco(bad start to the season, but in general) are much stronger. The league has also added international stars at the top in Neymar & Kylian.

So, yea, I watch too much football to entertain any notion of Serie A or the Bundesliga being markedly stronger than Ligue 1. Napoli, Roma, Inter, & Lazio aren't that good.

Napoli, Roma, Inter & Lazio are quite a bit better than this year's Monaco or Lille. You can't be serious.

Yes, Bayern and Dortmund are weaker than they used to be, but French teams outside PSG aren't that much stronger than they used to be. Especially at the back. Marseille and Lyon defenses are awful.

I plainly stated that despite a poor start to their season, in general, Monaco is stronger than all of the aforementioned clubs. They've been more successful domestically and continentally in recent seasons. Lille is on par with Roma, Lazio, and Inter as evidenced by them being 2nd in Ligue 1 and having an attacking front that is one of the strongest in Europe. Napoli is probably the 2nd strongest Italian side, but they've been poor outside of their domestic competition so I see no reason to put them over their French counterparts who've outperformed them in Europe over the last two years.

You're just throwing stuff at the wall at this point.

PSG > Bayern

OL, OM, Monaco, Lille > or = Dortmund, Hoffenheim, Schalke, RB Leipzig

As was Barca against Roma last season. Means nothing in this discussion so idk why it's being brought up. Stop worrying about PSG.

I guess you don't understand the difference between R of 16 and QF. wouldn't expect you to, given QF is a rare achievement for PSG.

Didn't PSG lose to Liverpool lol.

Worry about your club reaching the semis does the first time in your clubs short history while we focus on winning a 3rd historic treble.

Our worry is based on style not trophies.

Didn't Roma eliminate Barca? Yes. Worry about your style, Valverde, and salvaging the rest of Messi's prime. Keep PSG and its players out of your mouth.

Roma? That's in the past just some bad luck players will learn from their mistakes.

Barcelona ar light years ahead of PSG in every ranking and so is our league... simple facts.
