50 goals/assists
Major world cup player

Has a few shit matches, Barcaforum reacts like "neW rONAlDO NaZaRIo LOlOL"

Meanwhile they spank themselves over a slightly older player that hasn't had more than 10 great games in two seasons for both Barcelona and the French National Team combined.

On a side note, never thought he was particularly skillful, certainly not in the level of R9, Cr7, Neymar, or Messi. Great finisher and stunning football intelligence though.

I think he's way overhyped, personally. I mean yeah he's got great potential, but nowhere near Messi level (who is), and all predicated on the assumption, hell, the desperate hope, that he doesn't lose his pace, which for me is his only truly outstanding attribute. He's got footwork, sure, but it's flash as opposed to effective, his close control and technique is way off an equialent-age Neymar or even Hazard, and his finishing is really quite poor. Overall as a package it was impressive in the French league, sure, but when Psg really needed him against Utd, with Neymar out, he scored but was otherwise anonymous in the first leg, while in the second he was actually farcically bad, not a top thousand footballer let alone potentially the best, which is what he's touted to be, particularly by those with short memories and a narcissistic need to have witnessed with their own eyes the 'best ever'. Don't get me wrong I like him, albeit less so his emerging petulance and as yet unearned sense of entitlement, I'm just not as blown away as most seem to be by his potential. And indeed sincerely believe if ever he does become the best it will be a damning indictement of contemporary standards post messi and to a much lesser extent C Ronaldo, himself relevant solely as a stimulating factor, rather than a truly groundbreaking achievement.

I agreed with everything till you said not a top 1k footballer. He clearly is. I also think he's over hyped yet he's still one of the best young prospects out there.

Only in that one match, I meant. Obviously he's got great potential, just not as great as the claims. People act like he's already surpassed Neymar at Psg, but if he has it's only in terms of symbolic importance being from Paris, as opposed to talent. You only need to watch them together to see that.

Agree with most arguments, however he has another fortitude apart from his blistering pace; his goal-scoring ability is far and beyond world class for a player of his age. He is a genuine poacher, obviously relying alot on his pace, but 100 goals in 180 matches in his professional career is no small feat, farmers league and all considered.

Could be, could be simply the fact he's played the majority of those games playing for by far the best team in the league. Bit of both maybe. Personally he doesn't fill me with confidence in front of goal. He's by no means clinical. But he's only young. His finishing should improve.

You’re trying too hard to be contrary.

The best young player in the world by a massive margin, who every team in the world would give it's right arm for - that's who he thinks he is - and he is right

This is right.

Of course I'd love to have him at Barca, but the only way I want to pursue him is in the last year of his contract, perhaps when Messi is ready to lace them up or play in a show league. Unless he forces a move it could never happen for anything less than a moonshot fee, if even then.

Ligue 1 is set to be named ‘Ligue 1 Uber Eats’ from 2020

As part of the deal, an Uber Eats driver will deliver the match ball each game 😂

It sounds like a joke, but it’s real. This is why it's called a farmers joke league

He scored almost 40 goals this season, you don't achieve that with poor finishing. Seriously man stop. lol

Just a bit stupid? Lmao it's the dumbest name for a league I've ever heard, you cant buy dignity

And nobody will care since i never met anyone in my life that called la liga "la liga santander" or the PL "barclays Premier League". Won't be a big deal.

Also don't think many people especially younger ones will mind this as much. At this point i wouldn't even be surprised if some club changes the crest to an emoji, dignity is long gone

I totally agree! During the world cup he played against terrible defenders and goal keepers too. That's why he could score those goals. Let's not forget the UCL too.
Terrible terrible low quality opposition.

To be fair some still refer to the Premier League as BPL, but I see your point.
