Mbappe at Monaco had an incredible breakthrough, that Monaco team getting to the Cl semis was fantastic. Was actually fortunate to watch him at the Etihad for the 5-3 game.

Yeah but Dembele was also great, won against bayern in dfb final with having a beast performance and the important 3-2 goal. Both were fantastic.

Obviously not. Like, not in a million years. And I'm one of the people who really believed in Dembele but even back then Mbappe was already ahead.

Bar their breakout seasons, Mbappe went on to score bags for PSG including also scoring in a World Cup final for France. Where as Dembele mainly demonstrates the fact he possess a room temperature IQ on a regular basis.

Yeah I had a feeling it was the wrong decision when I seen that a few years ago. Now it makes me want to cry. We would have had a couple more CLs if we took Mbappe, no doubt. So depressing.

No he wasn?t. At Dortmund he was more of a threat on the wings, mostly on the right to provide those crosses than dribbling, penetrating and being a prolific goal threat up front. And he was not and cold, never very consistent.

I think the reason why we got him was the huge hype before he joined Dortmund, and that it was old that he was a Barca fan and wanted to come here eventually.
