Cant blame him.

Even if likes of Barca in for him and could somehow afford why would he even think about it.

Club seems like a directionless mess both on and off the park.

Honestly wouldnt be surprised if Barcas better players wanted to leave soon enough and go to where better chance to win.

Another big star scared of the Prem :tea:

Its mostly about the money, which club, except City, can reasonably afford his wages and bonues?

Is Liverpool willing to completely break their wage structure? I'm not so sure.

Not that i mind, Liverpool would be interesting, see how their rivalry with City goes, as long as he isn't going to RM its all good.

Real Madrid and Barcelona before years of spending beyond our means like idiots are just different gravy to the PL teams when it comes to attracting such players.

Man City have been up there lately I suppose, but the day Pep leaves they'll lose a lot of that aura.

And Pep is Barcelona.

Sadly, the new generation doesn't care as much. You see a lot kids wearing PSG jerseys and Haaland City etc. times are changing quick. We cant rely on past glory for too long. It works for now, but soon we are just past it's if we don't produce better results in Europe or overall.

They are not though, up there for sure, but this isn't 2010 anymore, oil clubs has the advantage.

RM, contrary to Barca, has not been spending money like idiots in recent years, the top attacking talents still went to City/stayed at PSG.

Real Madrid still are the desired destination for most footballers. Their association with the European cup helps even with the oil clubs.

Barca probably still got the advantage over clubs like City in countries like Brazil where going to Spain isn’t such a challenge to acclimatise to but the times they are changing.

Footballers breaking through now will only know of a dominant Man City and irrelevant Barca.

Happened to Milan and Juve too, Italy used to be packed with the best players but they are also miles off getting the best players in present day.

Barcelona will always attract top players as long as they can offer competitive wages.

The lifestyle proposition is way more desirable compared to English clubs outside the slum.

As @serghei pointed out a few days ago though in a very good point. It also means our recruitment has to be extra scrutinized so we don't sign declining players who are hard to sell, or unmotivated/underaqualified players who don't want to leave like Braithwaite and Song.
