Kylian Mbappé

Barca are nowhere near the draw they were.

Still an attractive option for some but less and less players are comitting to Barca to exclusion of others to force a deal through and certainly less player in their prime.

100% other clubs are pointing to Barca and fact have levers of tens of millions to pay every year when fighting for players and saying 'dont go there they cant compete financially at the top and build team you want to win with'.

Not only new signings...Without a shadow of a doubt this is the type of line Bayern will be trying with Araujo etc and others will try same with Pedri/FDJ etc and any see value in to try and get them to leave.

It was inevitable, so nothing surprising. Barca was never in the discussion.

The megaproject PSG might be over. With Mbappe and Neymar gone more players will be looking forward for their contracts to run out. The Qataris are final destination, they don't sell players.

Well Mbappe is way out of our financial capabilities right now.

Also the way PSG deal with sales, there will be a trend of established players and agents only signing for them on big money short term contracts. Mbappe won't be the last, but he probably didn't account for the political influence of the Qatar-France relationship. Something that a foreign player won't face when winding down the contract.

Young pups of course will still sign the long term contracts.

Real Madrid still are the desired destination for most footballers. Their association with the European cup helps even with the oil clubs.

Barca probably still got the advantage over clubs like City in countries like Brazil where going to Spain isn’t such a challenge to acclimatise to but the times they are changing.

Footballers breaking through now will only know of a dominant Man City and irrelevant Barca.

Happened to Milan and Juve too, Italy used to be packed with the best players but they are also miles off getting the best players in present day.

Totally. You can't sit at the back of the line for too long, get beaten to a pulp by likes of Bayern in CL, and still hope to keep your status very high and compete vs likes of Madrid, City, even PSG, Liverpool and others.

If Barca have money and the club is managed properly, achieving success at the highest level, the appeal and power of the club is normally only 2nd to Madrid. Finances matter a lot of course.

Regardless on money Sergh we need new good players to compete with Real next season, otherwise Mbappe and Reall will run us away...

I would say brace yourselves but we are so far behind currently it doesn't even matter. We should focus in beating relegation teams first, securing a conference league spot and then perhaps bother with what Real are doing with transfers.

Kylian Mbappé’s camp statement. “There’s NO agreement on Kylian future. There have been no discussions about his future”. “No type of influence could dictate the timing of Kylian's discussions, reflections, decisions”.

The guy is too good of a baller. Would buy his jersey instantly if he came. This is what I hope will happen ranked 1-4 (fantasy included):
1. Join Barca
2. Stay at PSG
3. Go to PL
4. Join Madrid

If he doesn't join us then I hope he stays in France where he stays irrelevant. Think he'd explode if he joined PL or Madrid, which would also be the smartest move for his career.

How come City aren't in for him? Superstar issues with Haaland? Money shouldn't be a problem. His biggest chance of winning CL is with City and Pep. Could also include a Pep clause if he wants to leave in 3 years.

You must be joking dude, ofc its because of haaland, both want to be Pl topscorer and both want to win ballon dor. But Liverpool will try to buy him and Klopp would make Mbappe to an unstoppable machine....At the end he will probably go to Real madrid even though i think it would be better for him to go to Liverpool as i feel there will be issues with ham and Vini.

PSG fans must be sick to death of dealing with this guy by now. It's like being in a relationship with a super hot girl you know you are punching above your weight with.

Yeah, there are moments where she puts a smile on your face and she looks great on your arm, but all the work, graft and effort to make her stay is not worth what you get back.

After a while you can't wait to bin her off and get back with the loyal fat ho who does your cooking and cleaning. :dembele:

It's what now, the same transfer window discussion for the 6th time in a row about him? It's so easy for attention whores like him to stay relevant in the media nowadays and keep his name and brand fresh, because of muppet fans who gladly suck in the same not statements over and over and over again.

He's the best player in the world. He doesn't need this for attention lol.

This is probably his team getting an idea of the realistic options for him.

He'd be a world beater under Klopp but we can't afford him. Unless our owners decide to pay his wages.

Currently, we are the third likeliest destination after PSG and Real.

If you can sell Salah to a Saudi team I could see it being done.
