Diego is an attacking midfielder for god's sake. How does he have anything to do with the amount of goals Atleti concedes? It would be different if he was a centre back.

Because Atletico have been built as a team where they are very disciplined and organised. From every player in the team. Not just the CBs.

It is not so much Diegos fault as he has never been and never will be a work horse or great defensively and they have been playing him alongside two strikers etc which is without doubt made them weaker defensively.

Costa is gonna beat the crap out of Diego in the locker room after the game. Then, Simeone will come in and join in on the beating.

Thank you Osasuna, thank you Diego! :worthy:

Now Simeone please don't start Diego next week, let's beat Real Madrid, for once this season!

I suppose you fail to apprehend the importance of team's chemistry and rhythm, which was clearly disrupted after Diego's arrival, and which can clearly be seen from the recent results

He played for Atleti 2 seasons ago. It's not like he's some kind of a strange stranger

Once again, failure to read anything I said and just living in your own world and repeating the same thing over and over again. To suggest that those results are because of Diego shows your argument is devoid of common sense and even the most basic logical intelligence. Bale was once considered Tottenham's curse too, I'm guessing his inclusion in their team was a mistake and the reason they were shit?

Consider this a final say in the topic, I have no interest in making further comments for such a ridiculous claim backed by nothing but weak superstition.

Dude why do you waste your energy  it's jamdav you should know better

Atleti are on the downturn, Madrid have the momentum now. We lost the league at home to Valencia. Madrid also have the easier schedule down the stretch. Madrid beat Atleti next week then it's over. I just hope we can use the remaining La Liga games getting ready for the CL.

Going by the reactions here we lost the league even before it started this season.

Not me. I'm surprised how well the team has done, considering we hired a manager under difficult circumstances, so late in pre-season and with no euro experience. We really aren't having a bad season, it just gets masked because Real and Atleti also are/were having great seasons as well in the league.

Sorry but that's just nonsense.

According to some, yeah.
