Thing that I'm most afraid of is if Madrid somehow magically turns the switch on and plays amazing in the cl despite having a horrible season overall.

Back when they won the CL they weren't doing that well in La Liga but they still managed to sneak in to the final and we all know they were about to lose it but all they needed was one player to change the outcome of the game.. Who knows man they have great players.

RM played way better that year. They had a really convincing CL campaign, as close as the finale was.
And they had Ancelotti who can actually compete with Pep, Lucho, Simeone & Co.

Everything can happen in the CL but there are better teams than RM left in the competition.

you're right, highly doubt zidane is gonna turn this squad around.
