Disagree. System implies regularity of approach, which is not something that characterises Zidane's Real at any point in his 2 tenures.
We used to just play to strengths of the available frontline. We still try to with far poorer results, because squad shaped by Perez (and Zidane, admittedly) forces wingers in and a sole striker in Benzema who is as up and down as it gets as the central outlet and the other inside forwards not being anywhere near the appropriate position without a marker to stop them when a cross goes in (and a lot of them go in).

Also most of the ageing players are as slow as Barca's. Modrić trackback is a liability just as Busquets is and has been exploited, and caused him to get moved to the bench most of last season, same with Marcelo. Benzema is as slow as Suarez with worse balance. Kroos is as leggy as Rakitić was when both playing poorly and is asked to do less with fitter Regui/Mendy. Speed is not something that stands out as better in our vets. The one difference is DM being younger, generally fitter, and Fede coming in to inject similar energy.

Real vets are not in nearly as bad a shape as Barca and likes of Benzema been best player in league in 2020.

FTR I don't really disagree on Benzema being pretty good right now (not even been average before Clasico so not sure about 'best in league 2020' hyperboles).
Being the best of the bad bunch isn't really an achievement which I think most can agree on - 6-8 weeks ago this thread was nothing but people bemoaning how shit a standard La Liga is, so a guy like Benzema standing out should tell you something.
But it wasn't what was being talked about.

Don't know what you mean by 'RM vets being not nearly as a bad shape as Barca'. Are RM vets more durable? Faster? Debatable. Modrić couldn't last more than 15 mins each half until last month (apparently changed nutritionist not too long ago). Kroos can be as leggy as several of your players and former players and was never known for pace, but has been on pretty good form this season - we'll see how long it lasts. Benzema is as slow as Suarez and barely scrapes same goal stats while playing double the amount of minutes. Marcelo is a corpse and can barely be used - horrendous win-loss team record when he's included, something like 9 losses in last 10 games.
Ramos is an anomaly and infinitely better than anyone else his age anywhere in the world, with his counterpart Pique only really getting near that level in bigger games.
Which other vets do we include for that comparative statement? Varane Case and Carvajal I imagine? Sure, except Barca doesn't have players for comparison. Alba is in as good a shape physically as Carvajal, less reliable defensively but more important to functionality of your left wing than Carva for our RW arguably. Maybe Roberto belongs in that senority bracket?

Just saw the Ramos incident vs Eibar. That's never a pen IMO. His hand is completely natural, and it doesn't deny any clear chance or anything. The ball hits him in the back/torso if not for the hand, with a similar outcome.

Nothing natural about the way its extended. It's a penalty.

Looking at Valencia vs Sevilla. Sevilla looks way more dangerous offensively than Barca. It's harder to defend vs a team who can keep the ball, cross the ball etc. And move the ball fast. We are extremely slow with the ball. Valencia had too much time to stay in good defensive form. We made Valencias defense look good.

We need to move the ball way faster and defend better. Sevilla plays much better defense vs Valencias counters.
