We just have too many inconsistent players for Flicks methods.

He has to adapt the defense. Vardrid rarely concedes more than one goal in LaLiga.

Their defence is in shambles, every half good winger runs through Vazquez like he's nothing. Not much different for Mendy although he was great tonight.

First Flick needs to prove his methods are efficient at the top in a competitive league. Jury is still out on that. We are giving him some time to prove it.

The excuse that he doesn't have the players to play his football vs inferior sides doesn't work. The players are plenty good to beat Las Palmas, Celta and other midtable or bottom table clubs. That much is clear.

They did play much better than Valencia in the 2nd half. The win is not exactly undeserved, especially when you play in 10 men and score 2 goals. When you press inferior players, they tend to make mistakes. And Madrid pressed them pretty hard in the 2nd half.

Outside the game against Barca they have only conceded 15 goals.
Yes they have weak and average defenders, but they don't expose those weak players to 100% like Flick does.

Barca with Flick is always going full on even after leading, and then players like Kounde or Casado fuck up. That's just the obvious pattern, every game fuck ups on the counter. Has he ever commented on that?

Forget about winning any big titles. This system only works if you have defenders that never put a foot wrong. We don't have that.

Liverpool and Inter have conceded only ONE goal in the Champions League, you will never win against them like this. Anything! Outscoring and the offside trap one trick pony isn't a tactic that will defeat top teams twice. Especially if the finishing is like this, Barca hit the goal 16 times, Vardrid only 4 times, Lewy and Raph both wasting chances left and right.

I'm also starting to doubt this highline advantage in offense, there's enough quality upfront, it just leaves the team vulnerable to counters and gifts many average players their first goal of the season. How did others keep them at bay???

Madrid continues to play like shit. Yes, they usually win anyways, but they still drop enough points to be easily overtaken with that playstyle. The title will solely depend on us. If we find our winning streak again und win most of the games in the second half, we'll win LaLiga. Otherwise we gift the blancos their first? defender title.
No need to look at them, just focus on us and start winning games. I don't believe Atletico will hold their form either.

I kind of agree with you, you're not losing 5 games half way through the season and winning a league title.

But I remain hopeful, 1 more lost and it's totally over.
