The good thing about Griezmann's assist is that he had the intelligence to not pass to Messi the first time, and continue himself to carry the ball and stop Granada from crowding Messi. Made Messi make the run, and only passed him in a top position to have a go with a shot.

We should do more of that. Determine Messi to make runs and not make him the servant all the time, but also the one who is served good balls in good areas. Messi should in turn not ask ball to feet when others can carry it, and in turn up his off the ball runs.

He had spells of good form in the past as well... but somehow he easily loses confidence and turns back to a mediocre level.

Lefit side with freedom to move more than when Suarez was CF seems to suit him.

Dembele on other side probably opens it up a bit as well.

With Busquets playing between the CBs, huge area opens up in the middle of the pitch, seems to me. Sometimes it's Messi who drops back, sometimes it's Frenkie, but most often empty. Could use that better in transition.

Also, looks like Busquets was instructed to help the CBs more today. As Koeman probably doubts the pair too.
