La Liga Round 19: Barca - Atletico 1-2

God this hurts, it’s not like last season’s pain whatsoever. Last season we basically conceded everything by March and if Araujo didn’t get the red card who knows. Anyways this sucks man haven’t felt so disappointed and pissed since the Bayern game 2 years ago in Munich. Ffs this players can’t finish for their lives man…

I promised myself not to watch the game, but did it anyway. Not entirely, only the second part of the second half-time.

What can I say? Feeling very disappointed by the result and the team performance right now. The team is a BIG disappointment. It seems like after the good start, the team is in the free fall. I am not sure if it stops or it will continue until the end of the season.

Sometimes I feel like there is no point in watching Barca games anymore because at the end of the match the team will disappoint you anyway and you will feel that instead of receiving positives vibes and emotions, you kind of feel only disappointment, negative emotions and that you wasted 2 hours of your time watching the game that you could have used in other ways.

The team has no grit. It easily falls if enough pressure is applied and if circumstances do not go their way. Unlike Real Madrid who often manage to overcome difficult circumstances to achieve the necessary result.

Not to sound negative, but there is no point in talking about winning La Liga this season. Not to mention UCL because in later stages good teams will exploit Barca weaknesses.

I was impressed by Pedri during the game. To be honest, I did not have a lot of hope for him at the start of the season given his injury history. But he is one of the few bright spots in the team.

Ferran - OMG. What a useless player. Aside from his performance in the Dortmund game, he has been disappointing during all the games he played.

Olmo - tried too much to be clever. Sometimes it is best to play simple.

Lewandowski - tried his best. But his finishing was awful. But I guess there was no point to change him for Ferran anyway because with 5 defenders Ferran would just lose the ball all the time.

Raphinha - bad finishing and bad game from him. A very disappointing performance

Martinez - WTF was at the last minutes of the game???!!!! Why did he have to go in the attack???!!! His and Baldes's area was left exposed and it is how the second goal was scored.

Balde - just bad. Does not provide anything neither in the attack no in the defense. I had high hopes for him. But it seems that after the breakthrough season, he stopped developing. Seems kind of semi-good La Liga player that does not provide anything useful to the team. Now I understand why Xavi preferred not to play him last season when other options were available.

What can I say? The team is a disappointment. Not sure what Flick can change to better the team. A lot of issues need to be addressed before the team is any good and can play as a reliable unit during the whole season.

It is probably best no to watch the games at all and not to follow the team's results so that not to feel disappointed.

1. too many youngsters.
I know, we don't have money.
But now we are paying the price.
A lot of these kids don't know what to do under pressure.

2. we don't have enough of natural finishers.
Besides Lewa, Raphinha and maybe Olmo, other players are more playmakers and possession recyclers than scorers.

I know, I know, it worked 15 years ago with Xavi, Iniesta and Busi, but in 2024/25, you just need to have more players who can score and who have a killer instinct.
Ok, Fermin and Ferran do have some finishing skills, but they suck in other areas.

We don't have enough players who are both creators and scorers.
We have a million of creators.

3. some players are just not good enough.
On my personal hate list, on top of the list are Gavi, Fermin, Balde.
Gavi is a jack of all trades, master of none.
Fermin is a good CAM finisher, but a meh overal footballer.
Balde is meh both in attack and defense.
His defending for the goal in the 95th minute was criminal.
He literally forgot to mark him man in the counter in the 95th minute. Insane.

About Gavi, we are his hostages currently.
He was the best young footballer in the world, he is the face of Barcelona.
Since he returned, our play and results went to hell.
You can't sell him.
You can't play him.
A tough situation.

Everything goes so bad at Barca starting with Laporta.
-very bad scouters and management: how can you bring to team couple of years ago Ferran Torres and pay $55 mil Euro, Eric Garcia in the same shit. You bring this fucking Lewandowski at 32 yo and make him the higher paid about 33 mil Euro?…. And this guy ia a real crap, maybe good at ballet that in rest he has nothing: no good control of ball, very slow, not good shooter or header,… and so on.
- this team is in such financial debt because they pay too much players who do not deserve;
- absolutely boring games to watch, passing 80 percent of time lateral instead trying to have a clear idea what to do when the other team defend with 8-9 players
- with this financial crisis/ debt, you cannot even hire a better coach.
- the only good players in this team is Pedro and Lamine Yamal plus Raphinia. Casado and Cubarsi are still acceptable. The others, are crap, shit players. What you can expect.?
- we had Marc Guiu as a better option than Lewandowski or Torres probably paid peanuts comparing with Lew but we got him transferred to Chelsea!!!!
Barca became such a ordinary team playing really disappointing and boring. Honestly, everything has to be changed to this team.

There isn't one, simple reason why we are losing.
There are 10 reasons.

But having too many youngsters is surely one of them.

Youngsters provide fight, spark, youthful energy and fun.
But they also provide huge ups and downs and rookie mistakes in key moments.

We need a striker to have a chance in UCL.
If we have one the team might win it.
If not we are stil few transfers away from a good squad. Anyways you said La Liga is not important.
+ Not watching Barcelona = less money so less hopes for even getting out of the debt trap.
