Too early to concede the no1 objective of the season.

Best team should play. And then early subs if things go well is the best plan.

We have to rotate somewhere, and if we have a better shot at the cups then we should look to rotate in the league. Doesn't have to be major, just the players who are in need of some rest or putting in players who need game time. For most la liga games , that team should still , on paper be enough to win.
Also, it's been general intensity levels , mistakes and focus that has seen us losing against the minnows.

Having said that we've qualified for the top 8 so we can rest some players against Atalanta. Just don't want to see raphinha being overplayed, and it feels like he is at the moment.

I would go with

Gavi De jong ( liked that DP when I saw it a few times)

And fermin at AM.

Rest casado and pedri.

This should be a easy win at home.

Also let's give fort a game, he's better than freak Martin for sure.

Last request Flick, let's see a bit of Christensen.

Would have Valencia as a better side than teams Barca have failed to beat recently.

Since turn of year they have narrowly lost to Real and won 3 of their last 4.. granted two in cup but drawing away to Sevilla and winning at home to Sociedad are good results.

They have some decent players in midfield.

There is no way Flick will rotate this game as thinks it will be easy when Barca have won 1 of their last 8 league games and dropped points vs too many poor sides.

Casado doesnt need rested really.

Since 21st December he has played 45 minutes in the league. Missed both games in the Spanish Cup and off after and hour v Benfica.

He did play twice in Supercup but in total that is near enough 3 full games and 2 half games in 6 weeks prior to tonight.

Ferran is nowhere near as bad as people make out when he plays in his best position .... as a centre forward. Play him off the left and yeah you will get Tuna. But his movement, pressing and added pace through the middle compared to Lewa is an asset.

He also seems to have better chemistry with the Spanish lads than Lewa.

Would certainly prefer to give him more chances there than bring in someone like Rashford on high wages.

Last time he played there was a 20 minute cameo in Dortmund where he scored 2 goals.
