Depends on how you look at it. It like it because we can get the difficult away matches out of the way in the first half of the season, and then have some easier matches in the second half while playing knockout rounds in the CL. Of course we have to win those difficult away matches in the first half, so we can be in the perfect position for the second half of the season. I think that'll happen as the players will be more fit early and wont have to worry about difficult CL or Copa ties.

We had impossible first half schedule last season and still won.

First match played at home against weaker side is good as team is still catching rhythm.


Also... Notice how Barca plays almost all matches immediately after international break at home. Also a very positive thing for our FIFA virus disease.

Those are just for the group games in the CL. As Real Madrid got most of their hardest league games in the 2nd half of the season, it will probably be similar for them when the knockout games begin. Two sides to everything.
