I never wanted that stupid 'route'.
That route is only in the minds of idiots like Laporta as valid, because it happened (successfully) one in a million years with Pep

How can we have such a childish president FFS?
Barca members voted for him should have regretted it by now

I'm pretty sure you wrote if xavi had taken the Barca B route you wouldn't have been so against his appointment.

If not,my bad.

But I'm preeetttyy sure.

Some people did, I never
I don't think that Barca B counts as serious experience.
Might be on the same level as Xavi's Qatari league or slightly better

It's a good step only to start a coaching career. Then it needs 2 or 3 more successful steps on the ascending ladder in order to land at the top elite level of coaching Barcelona

Again, not sure if feasible in any way, but keeping Xavi for another season and landing Klopp for the next one would be the best play.
If none of this is possible just try to not go a step back again. Not sure what that option would be currently, I hope the club people do.

Why is Klopp fit for tiki-taka?
Why he lost to RM so badly?

What's the big deal with Amorim? If anything Porto manager Conceicao is more impressive. I'd take a bet on Conceicao personally. Very impressive what he did with Porto against superior teams in CL in the last seasons.

Conceicao is poor man's Mou. Good tactically but his antics wouldn't fit well into Barca. Constantly bitching about refs, get emotions the worst out of him and had clashes with managers like Pep, Tuchel and Arteta. Can do well in big games but OTOH this season I've seen Porto often struggle to break down smaller teams in Portugal.

Amorim just checks most boxes imo. Young up and coming manager with clear ideas how he wants to play and can transform that to his players. Good working with limited resources and developing young players which is what we need. Humble, hard working and beloved by his players and fans. Also deals well with media from what I've seen which is also important at Barca. Able to make big immediate impact (like at Braga) or build a succesfull longterm project (Sporting).

Took over Braga in January 2020 when their first team coach was fired and in only two months he beat both Sporting and Porto twice (both in the league and in the Cup which they won) and also led Braga to their first away win at Benfica in 65 years. Was actually unbeaten in 11 games against Portuguese opponents, they've only lost in UEFA Cup against Rangers.

All this was enough for Sporting to pay 10m for him which at the time was 3rd highest fee ever paid for a manager. But after Covid break that investment paid off almost immediately for them as next season Sporting won their first league title in 19 years. Almost went unbeaten as well and lost their only game in next to last round against Benfica when they were already crowned champions. Next season they've progressed through group stage of CL for the first time in almost 15 years.

Had to rebuild the team over last two seasons after selling key players like Joao Palhinha, Pedro Porro, Matheus Nunes to EPL while Nuno Mendes and Manuel Ugarte went to PSG. Brought cheap players like Hidemasa Morita and Ousmane Diomande (love this kid) and last summer they've spend a bit more on Morten Hjulmand from Lecce and Viktor Gyokeres from Coventry both of whom will be sold for big money this summer as well.

At the same time they also developed youngsters from their academy like Goncalo Inacio (linked with a big move to EPL as well), Eduardo Quaresma, Daniel Braganca and Geny Catamo and now they are on the verge of their second title in 4 years under Amorim after they've won two leagues in previous almost 40 years. People talk about "big 3" in Portugal but over last few decades it was mostly a big spell of dominance by Porto with Benfica chipping in with a few titles here and there until Amorim changed that.

Clearly there are some concerns how he will do in a better league as Portuguese managers after Mou (like AVB, Nuno Espirito Santo, Paulo Fonseca and Bruno Lage) didn't really have that much success abroad. Conceicao will probably be the next on that list and we'll see where he'll go and how he'll do.

If I'd have to compare his results to someone I'd say Amorim did something similar to what Simeone did with Atleti a decade ago. As said we'll see if he can transform that success to a better league and also European competitions (they went out against Atalanta this season but they've proven they are a very good team with that win at Anfield last week) but I believe he has everything to become next top manager and if he decides "to do a Xabi" and stay at Sporting for another year and we'll have a chance to get him in 2025 then we would be stupid to not at least try. Doubt there will be many better options available unless we can somehow get Klopp.

Bring Xabi there is only one right answer and it's not in the poll. I don't know why.

Because one must be stupid to think Xabi will accept to coach Madrid's Rival !!
It's like Saying Lucho will manage RM ..
And Also Xabi is STAYING at Leverkusen refusing Liverpool his old-beloved club

Klopp adapt to the players he have he showed that many many times at Liverpool and Borussia
For your second question at the exception of FCB, pretty much everyone lost to RM "Badly".
I would not say they were so good for him to be clear. They mostly won with executions or big favors. He beat Barcelona with direct football, because direct football against Busquets, Pique, Roberto, Alba Lenglet is effective since they were finished in terms of running, but Real having Ramos and Casemiro among others was too much for his tactics. Real had physicality and technique so they made a joke out of Liverpool's direct football.
Since they still have that I doubt he will do good.
If Barcelona had physicality, DM, back line( like today except the DM) would have won 3-2 the second leg at least. So is he so good, or as with Flick, we are impressed by the work they did against retired players.
About Flick I still consider that PSG has done great, they had a penalty that was refused and lost by a small margin.
From the coaches with direct football style I still think Tuchel was the best. If you look at his record against Pep and even others is pretty solid.
Now considering he is in a free fall I doubt even his style.
We need a Xavi more happy and with better team selection and subs, I don't think he is inferior to Klopp but he made disastrous transfers like Ferran.

So I will be stupid to not think a Basque with links to our club will just refuse a good offer because he played 3 years at Real Madrid?
Well maybe this concept is stupid because Figo was captain of Barcelona, Laudrup was our beloved star and both had no problems. And giving Lucho as example isn't that straight forward since he spent 5 years at Real and now he is training the club that virtually made us look poor for 12 years in a row.
Is Xabi some Castilian fanatic?

The fact that you don't know Lucho spits on RM everyday before he goes to sleep is proof talking to you is a waste of time.
