Suarez, Alba,Busquets, Vidal,Rakitic all have contracts that must be fulfilled by the club too. We shouldn't even told them to leave if we apply same logic.
The contract is signed by 2 parties, non of them is bigger than the other
Exactly. They have the right to fulfil their contracts. What is wrong with that? Telling them to leave is totally fine, forcing them? I do not think so.

Agreed. People twist logic to suit their emotion. If they said Messi must fulfill his contract, why on earth they shit on Suarez for not wanting to terminate his contract?

Damn. South American football is aggressive. I don't remember almost any tackling in Finnish junior football. Looks insane. (Probably why we suck)

See thats the thing, people are asking for respect towards the club but are acting surprised when veterans (who won multiple trophies in last 5-6 years) get told of via 1 minute phone call.

I am no fan of Suarez, but this board has shown plenty of times they dont know how to run the club. Goes from transfer policies, wage management, player management, coach mamagement, pretty much everything they did in last 5yrs is worse then worst any of our player has done.

As I said. Maybe the phone call was less than 2 mins due to Suarez not liking what being told.

Do you expect Koeman to fly out talk with him or wait until back?

I wish club were more harsh with players and earlier.

Suarez would lose nothing if terminates contract and gets same wages elsewhere. Or takes a desk to cover difference.

Barca should keep him and play him for a year if won?t take deal to terminate.

Barca lose out if Messi goes for free.

So, we should respect the contract only when it's benefit us?

No... i just said that a termination deal with Suarez can benefit all but Messi leaving for free damages club.

If Suarez won?t agree to deal pay him money entitled to in contract and put him out of football for a year.

ok so if Messi leaves and the board gets reelected for some reason, what would you do?

I'm not even going to be angry, just stop watching Barca altogether.

You accused and blamed the club for wanting Messi to fulfil his contract. Now, you are asking to look at it rationally. I do not believe that I understand what you trying to say.

Who said Messi should be benched?
No, I said club should negotiate for rational fee. Saying "Pay up 700m or he is going no where" is not rational, because we are talking about 33yr old Messi with 9 months left on his contract. If it was 2-3 years I wouldn't be saying this, but the fact that he has such clause in his contract, he wants to go, he is 33yr old AND his contract is running out in less then a year means it will turn out really, really ugly if we ask for 700m or leave the guy on the bench.

Where is Suarez going to get his current salary? Does his family want to leave Barcelona and go to whatever club Barca founds that is willing to take him? I think answer to both of these questions is no, and its actually surprising how many of you are arguing "Well, he should just go..." but at same time shit on Messi for wanting to go.
