It surprises me how low our supposed fans value Messi.

If the situation was reversed and KDB wanted out city's demands would be out of this world.

It surprises me how high some of you value Messi. He is old, on a decline, in his last year of contract, and wants to leave. Also he has wages at Barca that he wouldn't get even in the Chinese league. No sane club will pay much for him.

The best thing for Barca would be to do a player exchange. Barca would get a couple of young good players, while also clearing the wage bill drastically.

Thats because :

a) KDB didn't give MC 20 years of his life, 15 in professional football to MC
b) Didn't score 650 goals and won 35 trophies at his time there
c) KDB isn't 33, with 2-3 years left to his career (at most)
d) Has no where near legendary status as Messi, who is literal demi god here

❗Man City believe that the Messi operation is financially and economically impractical. [md]

❗City know that they are under the magnifying glass. After being imposed to pay a ?10M fine due to UEFA Financial Fair Play rules in July, the Mancunian club don't want to take any risks. [md]

📰 ? Su?rez and Vidal are the only two players who are pushing Messi to stay at the Camp Nou. [skysports]

❗Guardiola has told Messi that it is best for him to stay and end his career at Barcelona. [md]

📰 ? Man City will rule out the signing of Messi if there is a fee to pay. [md]

He's staying folks. MD is the board's mouthpiece.

Imagine quoting MD as a source. They're not reliable at all.

He's missed training yet again and you think he's going to stay? He'll be gone by the end of the week.

Bartomeu doesn't want to negotiate for Messi under any circumstances, but Jorge Messi will try to change his mind on Wednesday in order to agree on a friendly exit and explaining to him that Messi Barcelona Career is over[cadena ser]

BBZ esque bullshit that cr7 is better than Messi recently is laughable. Cr7 is by far the most luckiest player in the history of football to have his name cemented in the name of all time greats when more than half of his career has relied solely on converting close range chances. The fact that his Euro is considered an example of NT success is laugable. No one in there right mind can give that Euro credit to CR7, he was insanely lucky to come across super shit teams until the finals where he didn't even play. Even in those 3 CLs back to back he just converted close range chances.

He is one of the most one dimensional players ever and the only reason he has had more trophies lately is down to the team. I've said this before and I'll say this again, someone who can't create or dribble past one player can't be considered better than Messi. Period.

There is no communication between Messi and Bartomeu. The Argentine continues to ignore his texts and calls. He feels he's been cheated enough. Bartomeu can only speak to Jorge Messi. [ser]

stunning

BBZ actually said that? I get that we're unhappy with Messi wanting to leave but c'mon.

 We're acting as if Messi is in his early 20s. Guy is at the gates of retirement almost and doesn't want to be part of a rebuild. Move him on even for some player exchange. It was obvious teams won't pay much considering his age, his contract, and the salary they will have to give Messi.

As far as Messi being the player to build our team around. That bullshit has to stop.
