Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

Yes, it has been a pleasure to watch him play over the last twenty or so years.

He was a child prodigy. Did people in 2005 really see him overtaking Pele and Maradona and becoming the best player ever (for most, I still rate Maradona with him)? I watched him and thought he would break into that group but never saw the full extent of that career coming. Maybe I was just too in love with Maradona as a player.

Messi return for a season depends purely on money. Nothing else. Of course, provided that Messi wants it.

I don't think it is that far fetched. He wouldn't have to play every game obviously.

He won't return to Barca as a player, but I hope Laporta can repair that broken relationship so we at least see him at Camp Nou once it's fully redeveloped.

I don't care if it takes him sacrificing his lapdog Enric Masip by shooting him point blank. Do whatever it takes.

I think he will work in the club again, he already said he'll live in Barcelona after his career and he hinted that he wants to work in football, I could see him working in the sporting department or something like that. Imagine Messi calling our potential transfer targets to convince them to come. But not under Laporta or Pique of course...

For me he was more impressive than an old Maradona so yeah back then without much highlights on young Maradona except some goals I thought after his second game that Messi is the GOAT.
Ronaldinho was poor in terms of ability compared to him and it seems Ronaldinho agreed with me back then.
The man was a machine.
Watching some games of young Maradona, after 2008, now I think are mostly there both but Messi is proven that he can survive the modern game and in my opinion has a more strong frame built for goals.
For me Maradona was more of a hype as for this kids that never got to watch prime Messi. You get into the bandwagon without knowing what you support.

I am not a boxing fan and have nothing against anyone who is. I just think it feeds into man's basest instincts - seeing people hurt each other and watching a gladiatorial contest. It's part of the human expression - it's been going for all of history. Humans are violent.

Western history and humanity has been violent, not true of overwhelming majority of indigenous cultures who lived symbiotically with their environment. Western history will have you believe through institutional lies and propaganda that violence is innate to all peoples as a justification for its own psychosis. Of course you have indoctrinated or satanic anthropologists who would study various indigenous people over the centuries describing the violence present but only ever after westerners came and already committed rape, torture, genocide, ecocide.

I still have a dream. That the new stadium they attach a huge statue of this to the roof.

They then have a lever where you can move the statue 90 to 180 degrees down so it is literally looming over the pitch. A world first.

Imagine how much money it would bring as a tourist attraction as it penetrates the Barcelona skyline like a modern day Statue of Liberty.

The players can look up to the skies during difficult games and get the inspiration they need. And even better, when the sun is out, there will literally be a shadow of the GOAT on the pitch.

Legendary.
The real dream would be for messi to be 10 years younger again. This kind of talent and personality are extremely rare. he is a one off. and even if we were lucky enough to see him in all his glory for so many years, I still feel it wasn't enough.

This is cult of a personality and it didn't end well for Argentina
