You were mocking Ligue 1 like you now mock Bundesliga until the last few months

Mocking for the overall level, yes. But must admit that I didn't think it was this physical.

It doesn't make the league better, because technical level is lower, lots of raw players or players not good enough when compared to other leagues.

I can't believe we have gotten to the point where Barca-fans are actually considering Ligue 1 being tougher than PL, even if they try to limit to "physicality" or whatever.

No, Ligue 1 is not better, or even on the same level as PL, in any way, shape or form, the end.

Yes, PSG is disjointed and doesn't really play to Messi's strength, but come on, lets be real here.

No one said it is better. It's still the poorest from top 5.

But it is more physical. Or at least that was my impression, from watching more games since Messi is there.

Oh, you agree? Nevermind then, i got a different impression at first.

Keep in mind there are misconceptions in regards to every league, La Liga is supposed to be "soft", but there is no shortage of physicality and cynicalism here either, seen plenty of butcher-matches here over the years, i doubt any league is that different in this regards, teams do whatever they can to get an advantage.

Of course PL is better. But I am 100% sure both Messi and Psg in general would have it much easier against the likes of Villa, Southampton, Brighton etc compared to the physical Ligue 1 teams.

He's at PSG to play in CL, not Ligue 1 to be fair. If he and the team were doing better there, then these bad league performances wouldn't be much of a concern.

I just think he would have done better in any other top 5 league. Not because those leagues are poorer, but because he would've had a bit more time on ball and less fouls received.

Yeah, I remember many games vs Bilbao or Levante being full of butchering fouls.

RM looked shit in group stages in 16/17 and even bits of 17/18.

You need to take your own advice and just relax until Feb-March. If Messi and PSG have a meltdown in R of 16, then the mudslinging is justified.

Actually every team since 13/14 which won the cl was clearly poorer/poor in first half of the season. History wise its a good sign for psg.

Lens and Nice are both contenders of UCL positions, together with the likes of Marseille, Lille and Rennes. Now, we know eventhough PSG has almost no problem with other clubs, those top teams are really tough to handle (all draws and defeat are against those teams).

If PSG had two Verrati's we could talk about PSG being a UCL contender. With a midfield of Verratti-Danilo-Paredes they won't go anywhere near it.
