I am a football fan. Ronaldinho and then Messi, Iniesta, xavi brought me to Barca for the astonishing football and moments. I am not from Spain but got attached to Barcelona.
But will not forget what makes the sport what it is, and Messi did that for 17 years. Club legend. Simple as that.

No self respecting Barcelona fan would support Dembele of Kounde over messi, read properly if you're gonna reply & throw out fanboy as if that's an insult, I'll be a Messi fanboy proudly he's got GOAT.

PS I unfollowed Messi the moment he left Barcelona, no blind fanboy here, Barcelona over messi, but if Messi is playing a game, for the national team, that's a easy support.

That because I like Dembele and Kounde (Barca players) I would support a French team which plays football I bash every day?

Those are some extreme stupid allegations, I've been following Barcelona since 7 years-old, 1993-94 my father used to wake me up for Barca games due to his passion on Hristo Stoichkov being part of FC Barcelona.

Lionel Messi is the greatest FC Barcelona player in history. I can't celebrate Leo? Well, bitches, enjoy yourselves. Same as 2010 when I was extremely proud with the La Masia players lifting the trophy on my favorite national team - Netherlands.

So? What were you expecting. That a club legend nr1. in history would be disregarded against couple of average 'french' schmucks, who happen to play for Barca at the time? Absolute majority of Barca fans were rooting for Messis journey to world cup and feeling for his fails for more than a decade. That combined with how insufferable this france is. Boring football, obnoxious players, affiliated with assholes Macaroni and caliphs. Nobody wishes bad for Dembz and Jules in general, but on this occasions - absofuckinglutely. Don't give a hoot about their success in NT in general. There's nothing to gain for Barca from that either.

Guess the only real fan around here is Birdy though.

It's amazing to even wonder why would Barca fans would want Messi to lift the wc, when the majority of football fans independent of team and country affiliations supported him.
