This mystery of playing good yet deserving to be behind in score is because the formation, selection and instructions are good from the manager but the players are not focused and not sharp. Most of the counter have been individual errors

Messi been good but his shooting has been woeful lately, he's probably pissed with himself lol. Rakitic as a CDM is his best role for sure these days. He wasn't looking good when pressured early on but as that faded, he looks good when he can sweep up and isn't under pressure.

Ansu's worst performance since the break but he still got some good looks/created more danger than Griezmann. 17 year old will still be developing confidence/authority in his game.

Puig is definitely the best midfielder out there today and has made the right plays at the right time. The intuition is awesome, and honestly if he keeps playing like this Barca desperately needs that in this team. Showing more dimensions to his game than Arthur has for us bar a few performances.

The whole team shape seems better.

Wide players and forward players getting more of ball in right areas as Rakitic and Puig are moving ball so quickly.

Defensively the midfield and back line looks a bit dodgy but this open game surely suits Barca and Messi will make them pay.
