You are wrong! I don't agree that Lucho should be replaced. Speak for yourself. I'm against having a new coach every 6 months. It's too early, we should give him more time. Was our game total disaster- no doubt, is that enough to fire the coach-no way. Barca was already in disaster mode at the end of Tata's term and Lucho have not made that team worse or better. It wasn't like he got UCL and Liga winning team and made it worse. That's the team that Tito and Tata got and they made it worse. He should have his time to rebuild his team. Another change of coach -will kill the team completely. By the way unlike the coach - this board can be dismissed tonight and everyone will only benefit from that.

Would love for that to happen, but I don't see it becoming a reality.

So many fans were on the hype train when Lucho was appointed, saying he is fitness maniac, he will make Barca play more dynamically, press more etc. He is doing everything exactly opposite to this. I really liked him as a player, but he's just not top coach. I don't find Lucho as the reason No.1 for team's state, though. This is all down to our current and past (Rossell in charge) board. They took three huge gambles in Tito, Tata and Lucho while we had such a great roster. Just one TOP coach would have been enough. Add on the top of that terrible transfer policy, and there you have it. I personally think if Barca's coach was any of the forum's users, we would be still in TOP 3 teams in Spain. Barca were left on autopilot when Pep left, it worked a while until Bayern dismantled us. From that point on, it went downward ...

When you have a half-brained ex goalkeeper who couldn't find a job before Rosell took him as his puppet running things at FC Barcelona, this is what happens.
Worse than results, we lost our identity.

I was just saying my friend, who is ManU fan, how unacceptable forgiving they were with Moyes. What did they need to wait for? They were CHAMPIONS year before for Christs sake!? They didn't even qualify in EL...

Yeah, the way Manchester United went from liga champions to not even qualifying for the europa league and the way they held onto Moyes for WAY too long should be a huge warning to us. Just because the club has a big name doesn't mean you'll stay on top no matter what.

I'm afraid the same is going to happen where we keep Lucho around for way to long as well, just because the board has him as their golden boy signing this summer. Them firing him now would be admitting to yet another mistake, something they will want to avoid amidst Laporta talking about running for president again. I just hope we stay in the top 4, but I can't say I'm too optimistic about that if Lucho stays for the entire season.

It really looks like he has lost the lockeroom already, which isn't surprising - players like Messi, Xavi etc. can see through his piss poor tactics and lack of good ideas quicker than any of us in here.

Couldn't said it better. Remembering Zubi's brainfarts getting worse by each day in his last years as the GK I was not surprised he was nowhere to be found after the retirement until Rosell came out and hired him as his puppet. The guy has no clue what the fuck is going on.

Seriously i fail to understand what's the idea behind this positioning, there is spaces to exploit against us in every area of the field, no wonder we are in situations where the opposing teams always outnumber us.

Our positioning is like scraping too little butter over too much bread. So much space is being created on our half for the opposition to exploit, and we're in turn filling pointless space with important players playing them out of position.

But wait, let's look at the positives, there's at least lots of sideways passing options for the midfielders! :lucho:

Great read, from a soci: http://futbolpirineusenglish.blogspot.com.br/2014/11/weve-lost-2v1-and-best-messi.html

I agree with him, we need wingers. Singing Reus instead of Suarez would'd been better. Wasting Suarez or Messi as rw seems a waste, maybe they could interchange positions during games. I don't know. But this current setup has to go.

Suarez is exactly what we needed, he just needs to be in the middle. I like messi as a false winger, and coming inside too. Like the messi and villa combo vs milan.
