Marquinhos

It's probably official, no other team would pay 35mi on a prospect with just one good season.

Didn't Marqui's agent say a few days ago that 3 clubs (Barca, United and PSG) made approximatively the same offer and that it is up to the Roma and the player to choose?

If Marquinhos really did pick the PSG, it must be because of the promised salary.

I kind of fear the qataris go wild and pay too many players too much.

They could be hit very hard by the FFP if they are not careful.

Yea we don't need a rotation CB, we need someone (young or old) that we think can step up to the plate and be one of our starters.

The transfer of Marquinhos, if true, honestly depresses me. Not because we didn't get him, but because he is signing for an overpriced fee within days of PSG already paying 65 million for Cavani...it's just pathetic. Why aren't there LEGIT rules prohibiting this kind of spending...it's also sad that a young player with his whole career infront of him will turn down Barcelona, a team which pays well and has history, to play for some oil club.

Ok guys, we need to be a little bit fair.

Psg's biggest signing in history, cavani, only ranks fifth all time. As a reminder, this is a ranking dominated by real madrid with 3 players in the top 5 (with ronaldo at 94 million!!), and we are 3rd with ibra at 69 million, and that was 4 years ago!! I don't think we, of all people, can complain about crazy spendings. Neymar's transfer ranked 8 or 9 by the way.

Furthermore, you guys know we still owe hundreds of millions in loans to banks right? Less than madrid but still! For years, we have borrowed money we didn't have to cover our spendings, which is how we got some of our biggest legends. How is that fair to anybody else? The only thing we can brag about, is our formation, which is the best. We make our own legends too.

These "oil" teams, as you call them (it's gaz, not oil, for psg, by the way), have the money, and are not borrowing anything. They want to become big teams, and it's normal to spend a lot in the first 3 years. But just as city and chelski are doing,
They won't have to after the have built their team, just adjustments.

We just need to chill, we are still the biggest club out there, but we need to better choose our targets. Our obsession of Thiago Silva for example is gonna screw us big time.

wrong. thats because there is more money in the english league. Billionaires are buying up clubs left and right there. City didnt need 5 years to win the league anyway. thats a lie. and they have been crap in europe. Does that mean the english league is bad then?

Look at the Spanish league. No one has any money. The only way to compete with the corrupt English billionaire clubs is through russian and arab oil money and embezzlement. Its not like Spaniards choose to move to England because they want more sunshine.

Yes, but it's also true the level of ligue 1 is very low. Now it's changing with psg and monaco

Zubizarreta denied making a bid for him.

what are our option now for CB?

Adil Rami but it seems Roma is moving for him and he isn't good enough anyway
Inigo Martinez but his club won't sell, his buy out clause will cost us around 38M(with taxes)
Koscielny :well for some reason Arsenal are the best team to negotiate with ,but Vermaleen is now injured and Arsenal might not sell this year tbh
Agger : seems to be our top target
Vertongen : lol ,neverminde ,we won't be able to convince Tottenham to sell him ,Same with Luiz(Chelsea) ,T.Silva
Then there is plenty of good ,relatively young CBs that Zubi would never think about ,Zuma,Mangala,Papadopoulos ,Howedes ,N'kolou,Doria

#PSG have signed Roma defender, Marquinhos, for €32m + €3m in bonuses. [ITS]

Big money right there for a young dude

Zubi should be fired plain and simple. For the love of God we're in mid July we still don't have a CB after needing one for 2 years. This is unacceptable, I know Rosell shares the blame but this one needs to be voted out but Zubi ===> EXIT

He presented his resignation at some point this year, it wasn't accepted.

It's not official but Marquinhos 99% will go to PSG.
The agreement 32ml + 3m (bonus) is too precise to be false.
His agent, Calenda, said that Roma told him he could sell the player to a figure very good and they preferred not to go against the choices of society. The player to the Rome earned little, I do not think the PSG will gain much more.

If it happens, it's really gambling on youngsters.

PSG was Lucky with Verratti, but it's hard to be hit by the lightning twice.

And verratti didn't cost 35m.
