Excellent tackle 5:45, makes excellent accurate long ground passes too, noticed multiple times this season to save time and multiple touches from sub-optimal position he'll fall to ground to facilitate long progressive passes, such high IQ. Hope Barca bring him back home sooner than later.

Very boring and low-level irony from many fellas ITT thread. They don't understand, so it's difficult to tell them!

Paul McGuinness talks much about "the arrogance of timing", and this is what Puig shows in the last game time and time again, so nice to see a player playing with this "flow".

He does nice things for sure, but have to say that spaces they allow there are huuuge. There seem to be no pressure at all from most teams. These players must be in pretty bad shape so i guess it fits Puigs fragile physique.

I prefer Bernardo Silvas dribbling, and he is overall a more mature player, but Puig surely has his advantages as well. Good idea!
Puigs play before the second goal last game in particular shows a lot about what I like in him: intercepting the ball nicely after having pressured, playing a stylish but secure pass to secure possession, being available by not moving but keeping the depth and option between the lines, passing through the lines securely but with pace when the option appears, then following through and intercepting another ball 2nd wave on the other side of the pitch to again play it securely and correctly for another player to score. Brugman has done a lot of nice things it appears in these highlight videos too btw!

Also, on Puigs fbref page, he is currently listed at 99th percentile in "passes attempted" and "progressive passes", but only 98th percentile in "pass completion %" with his 91,5%
It would be pretty spectacular to ace all three of these stats, no matter the competition!
