Messi or original Ronaldo

If you were a manager and you had to choose one of these two to play with you for 4 years, who would you pick; Messi (age of 19-23) or original Ronaldo (age of 19-23)

assuming none of them gets injured at all during that period..

well said you swayed me... Messi is one year older then me and since i was 15 i have been worshipping and trying to emulate him

well just assume that you're the manager of a team and you had a certain budget to spend. would you rather spend it to build your team around Messi or Ronaldo? or would you strength your midfield and have any of these two to score for you, still who would you trust more to get you the goals and help his teammates?

Ronaldo used to take a good amount of freekicks when he was young, he wasnt great at taking them but then again Messi isnt that amazing at freekicks. both have their own unique way of taking freekicks, Messi kinds of places his shot by his brain, Ronaldo opted to use more power on his shot with a little bit of a curl.

i think you got my point wrong. Ronaldo is a great freekick taker but so are many other footballers, he scores goals in abundance but so do other top strikers, he is speedy but there are other speedy footballers as well, he has incredible power but so do other footballers. BUT there are no players with Messi's assets , he can do things that are out of this world, so imo adding Messi to a team would add something different.

I chose Messi because as DM said, Messi can play a larger role than just a goal scorer. I'm sure that both players being young could still be highly adaptable to numerous attacking roles though.

The one thing that would put Messi over the top though is the maturity which he possesses at this age.

oh i didn't notice it was for a young age sorry. i voted ronaldo who wasn't as good at this age, but one of the best of all time later on.

Ronaldo. Didn't have such a great team around him to allow him more space than you can give him.

2 different players though, and you can't really go wrong with either one, but I rate Ronaldo as more decisive.
