what i meant is this: i never saw essien in action for madrid. in truth, all i ever saw of essien in madrid is the picture above in this thread. so im curious, local madridistas or informed cules... how did essien fare in madrid? and is his loan really over?

He played a fair amount of minutes when we had no LB and injured Khedira, but he was on and off with his minor muscular problems. And he did a decent or good job at what he was supposed to do. He's a Mourinho man so he knows his role and didn't have to adapt too much. A good option to have.
