He's playing very well. I have always liked him a lot as a player - well, since he exploded at Liverpool anyway.

His dribbling has declined a little as Tempt says, but his finishing and passing in the final third are as good as ever.

He's scored a lot of brilliant goals at Liverpool, but for me this is his best - I watched it live. The strength he displays when he first receives the ball is excellent, and then he turns. Next he shifts the ball using the sole of his boot in a tight space- many players wouldn't think to do that there and would be tackled, and the move would be over. Then he faces up it looks like Laporte, goes one way then totally does him by coming back on the outside. When he goes outside the chance would be gone for most players, but he lifts the ball past Ederson and into the far corner with his weak foot.

Just a stunning goal with those four parts executed to perfection - the strength and turn; the sole of the boot shift to go round the defender; the second shift; the finish on the weak foot. People don't realise but if even one of those parts isn't done correctly then the goal doesn't happen. The fact he does it against the best PL team too. That's what separates the elite player from football mortals.
