Munir El Haddadi

This. Hope we don't rush him in. Just needs a few minutes this season like in the Copa or even the CL last group game (If we are already top) but majority of time in the B team. With a view to a slightly bigger role the following season.

Munir is really good.

He looks a more polished player than Deulofeu even though they play different positions.

That's because, mentally, Munir's a more mature player than Deulo. Deulofeu has been used to being the star man on every team he's played on, and Lucho's handling of him shows that he's trying to make Deulo more humble.

Also, you have to admire Munir's work rate, pressing the opponent's defenders for the ball.

He has to start learning very fast, because we're not Arsenal, our goal is to win trophies every year. Munir who is just 18 is showing tremendous work rate.

Deulo has gotten better at it every year though. At Barca B, he would never track back. His time at Everton has helped improve this a bit. And Lucho will get him to do even more defensive work.

What I meant was that he is the biggest prospect we have in the B team.
Deu is older, more experienced and has already played for a solid PL team. We should not even compare him to Munir.

Comparable players to Munir are Sandro, Dongou and of course Adama. And so far Munir looks the best. He probably has the highest ceiling.

This reminds me somewhat of the Samper vs Busquets discussion.

Deulofeu seems to be Lucho's personal project at the moment. His positioning in the attack isn't any worse than Adama or Pedro or Sandro yet Lucho still wants more from him. His defensive work saw him going so far back that he was teaming up with Grimaldo defensively (Also, Grimaldo defending? Has he been doing this since returning from injury or is it just Lucho putting the fear of God in him), which none of our other forwards not named Pedro would do. He's played better than Adama in the preseason but is still the only remaining player not to start a game. He's molding Deulofeu into the kind of player he needs him to be, and for this reason I'm certain that by the end of the season we'll have a fantastic player on our hands pushing for a spot as a starter for the 2015/16 season.

As far as Munir goes, if he keeps playing the way he does I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting the kind of minutes Thiago got under Pep. Either way it'll probably be hard to justify him having more than a couple of seasons on the B team. Both he and Deulofeu could perceivably work in the same lineup if we bench and sell Neymar (Likely) and Suarez (Not so likely) at some point, and if we run a 3-5-2 as rumors suggest then he would fit seamlessly into the spot Lucho seems to want Cuadrado for on the right, as a hybrid defender/attacker. This could also explain why he's being particularly hard on Gerard this preseason to make him a winger willing to track back all the way to defend.

Nice post, Zangash...Yeah, I see similar...Truth is I think even Lucho's work with Munir & Adama also works to motivate Deulofeu as well...Moreover his comments that he has confidence in some of the B teamers is another warning to either get with the program or sit on the bench...I like it
