He has to start learning very fast, because we're not Arsenal, our goal is to win trophies every year. Munir who is just 18 is showing tremendous work rate.
This reminds me somewhat of the Samper vs Busquets discussion.
Deulofeu seems to be Lucho's personal project at the moment. His positioning in the attack isn't any worse than Adama or Pedro or Sandro yet Lucho still wants more from him. His defensive work saw him going so far back that he was teaming up with Grimaldo defensively (Also, Grimaldo defending? Has he been doing this since returning from injury or is it just Lucho putting the fear of God in him), which none of our other forwards not named Pedro would do. He's played better than Adama in the preseason but is still the only remaining player not to start a game. He's molding Deulofeu into the kind of player he needs him to be, and for this reason I'm certain that by the end of the season we'll have a fantastic player on our hands pushing for a spot as a starter for the 2015/16 season.
As far as Munir goes, if he keeps playing the way he does I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting the kind of minutes Thiago got under Pep. Either way it'll probably be hard to justify him having more than a couple of seasons on the B team. Both he and Deulofeu could perceivably work in the same lineup if we bench and sell Neymar (Likely) and Suarez (Not so likely) at some point, and if we run a 3-5-2 as rumors suggest then he would fit seamlessly into the spot Lucho seems to want Cuadrado for on the right, as a hybrid defender/attacker. This could also explain why he's being particularly hard on Gerard this preseason to make him a winger willing to track back all the way to defend.
