They won't, but I take it for granted that Munir will stay at Valencia if the club decides to make him their player 100% if he's a great spell.

I mean, why would Munir ever go back to Barcelona and riding the bench for an another season + being behind Suárez and Paco (who's supposed to be Munir's replacement in the first place).

For the sake of Munir's own career, it would obviously benefits for him to stay at Valencia rather than return to us.

Well, if Munir's form is really that good and Paco remains as mediocre as he has been his entire career I don't see why Munir would have to worry about being behind him. Being 4th option behind MSN is what Munir has always wanted all along, anyways, and it's not like he'll be riding the bench, he just won't be a starter.

Most loanees prefer to stay at the clubs where they had their breakthrough though. If he were to chose between starting at Valencia or being 2nd or 3rd choice at Barca behind Suarez or Paco, then his decision might not be as clear as you expect it.

Define "breakthrough". Being promoted basically directly from Juvenil A to the first team and watching all your peers fizzle out and vanish is quite a huge breakthrough, don't you think?

Breakthrough as in being actually playing professional football on a football pitch on a regular base and be good at it

Calling Paco's career mediocre when Munir barely has double digits in the Primera and Segunda combined is laughable.

Just because the club didn't announce it doesn't mean we don't have a buyback.

Sure it does. The announcement not only described the initial deal but what the options were at the end of it & for the future

The club's official statement reads:

“FC Barcelona and Valencia CF have reached an agreement for the loan of Munir for the 2016/17 season. The Valencian club will pay the player’s salary during this time. At the end of the loan period, Valencia CF will have the option of signing the player for a sum of €12 million. FC Barcelona maintains the right of first refusal in the case that Valencia sell him on.”

If Munir's form is great, then I doubt he'd sacrifice a a spot in the line-up for one of Spain's biggest clubs and getting much playing time for development...
