Netherlands - Hungary. I hear a Hungarian player passed out on bench. I hope everything is OK.

Yes, Adam Szalai, former striker and legend of Hungarian football, had 86 caps and 26 goals. Played for Real Madrid Castilla early in his career but then spent majority of his career in Germany. He announced retirement in July and is now asssistant coach.

Thankfully he seems to be fine and apparently not the first time this happened to him.

The federation said in a statement on X that Szalai "is stable and he is conscious" after being taken to an Amsterdam hospital by ambulance.

"You see someone lying down, you see someone shaking. That is quite scary. But thankfully at a certain point it became clear that he was stable."

Van Dijk heard from Liverpool teammate Dominik Szoboszlai, who captained Hungary, that Szalai had suffered a similar incident previously.

"But yes, it is still very scary to see. I hope he is doing well and that he recovers quickly."

Hopefully he is ok and gets checked if this isn't the first time it has happened.

Hungary had that scary incident with contact on the striker Varga in the summer against Scotland too. Thankfully he ended up being fine but it looked grim at the time.

Yes, camera focused on Varga too almost immediately yesterday.

Kosovo players taunted the fans like they were some tough guys, and then ran off like chickens after some fans chanted Serbia, Serbia.

If you can't take the heat mind your business and behave. Don't act tough and then play the victim card. Bleah.... :puke:

Scotland can still reach the quarter-finals and hence avoid relegation. It is a big ask though - requires both us winning in Poland and Portugal winning in Croatia. Anything other than a win for Scotland sees us relegated automatically.

Also, this

If Poland plays like against us in second half you guys have a good chance....but if they play like against in first half and have a bit more luck then it's over for you guys 🤔

I never watched any of the Nations League games this season other than Scotland v Portugal. However, I think it is a very big ask for us to win in Poland. I think they'll get at least a draw, consigning us to bottom place and relegation.

Scotland is very unfortunate against Poland.
I remember the Euro 16 qualifier in Scotland where Lewandowski scored a goal from offside (looked like it), then the last minute Lewandowski push in goal, originating from a set piece that was given after an arguable foul play, and a friendly in 2022 that was, I think, drawn even though Scotland outplayed Poland big time, the very last game too, the final score, decided by penalty, was more about luck than brains....
Well, if you win in Warsaw, you deserve quarter finals. Poland is hard to predict these days. That's that duchebag manager, experimenting with the squad every damn match, and even every damn half, making irrational decisions like the 2nd half vs. Portugal.
Poland needs a manager that can instill motivation and, more importantly, can harness the existing potential into an efficient winning formula.

But you guys, have a good shot today, I won't blame you, if you take...Good Luck!
