I can't understand the people who are haggling over 20 million for Neymar. Hey, you're talking about Neymar. He's going to leave us in Paris, but seeing this football genius is priceless. Neymar has a Coutinho in every cell. We're talking about a unique, exceptional player, and you make apothecary accounts as if it were your money at stake. Relax, you may find one of the best players in the world at home and get rid of a player who will never be one and who has never been worth 140M and who is only worth half that. Whatever deal is made, if you get Neymar back, you are the winners. There is also its marketing potential at stake, you get a bankable player, and that counts in Neymar's price, unlike Coutinho.

I will quietly hope this will never go through...

If Neymar returns, after the way he left, in a team that has the least use for a winger, costing us a ridiculous amount of money we don't have...it will be just shockingly bad, confirming once and for all that the board has no intentions of rebuilding us into a dominant & complete football team, but rather a team that just sells to new markets and gets the $$, with a coach that has as main job to provide minutes for the top selling shirts and so called "legends", that in the meantime seems to have forgotten off ball movement or in some cases to run.

After Messi retires, we will be stuck in mud for a long time.

Can't believe some people actually want this snake here..

Well said.

I suspect a lot of people who want him back think that suddenly he will ne longer act like a diva, he will no longer get injured, he will play for the team not for his ego and so on

I guess its all about that Brazilian market and pleasing Nike executives

once Messi's is gone (in 3-4 years) barça will probably resemble the current Man U, rich but underperforming on the pitch

I don't like him as a player and as a person, but one thing is sure...

Our matches became too boring lately.
It was all about football.
Pass, pass, pass, shoot, shoot, shoot.
Who wants to watch 90 minutes of pure passing and dribbling? Nobody.

With Neymar, we will again get a perfect amount of drama.
A perfect balance of:
1. football
2. fighting, arguing, provoking
3. and rolling, rolling, rolling, hahaha

I am glad that we will be able to watch this again 1-2 times per week on every single match:

He might be past his prime, he might be extremely expensive, he might has fucked us so many times in the past.
He might be injured for 9 Months per season, but in those rare 5 matches per year when he'll play, I think that all of us will be perfectly satisfied with results, trophies, drama and fun :surfing:

The people saying Coutinho is only worth 60m are off their rocker. Yes he may only have played like a 60m player for us but football doesn't work like that. No player loses more than half his value after 18 months based purely on his footballing quality.

There is always some manager with an ego big enough to think they can get the best out of him in their team/system. This is how the transfer market works and why players like Lukaku are even being sold for profit.

Nobody valued him at 160m like we did . Not even close .

RMC:

As explained yesterday, Barcelona is still ahead for Neymar. Negotiations accelerated with Leonardo. Negotiation revolving around a deal: Coutinho + money. The Coutinho file could, however, be settled separately for settlement issues.

My preference is he stays in Paris but I won't like him joining Madrid, so if the choices between joining us or Madrid, I choose us.

Neymar is a marketing attraction, and this is the focus of Bartemoue since he became the president. I don't think he cares about long term sporting project or maybe he doesn't understand football that much but he does understand how to generate more revenue for the club. Messi, Neymar, Griezmann and even De Jong will all have a huge impact on the club's brand and marketing. Our revenue will increase substantiolally in the next few years.
