Imo, Lautaro would be a good option for 80m. or so. I also like Bailey from Leverkusen. Just the type of player we need. Fast, technical, works hard, scores goals (he seems to score in the biggest games as well), and doesn't have an inflated price. Yet.

Bailey + Lautaro + Dembele (if he gets past his injury problems). Not bad. Plenty of speed and mobility there.

Realistically though, we’ll end up paying 111m. Also no point in thinking of formations without Messi when we would buy either of those two this transfer window. Messi got at least another 2/3 seasons.

Yea, I know, which is why I want only players who would be at most 27-28 when Messi is retired. Ideally, only Messi should be well over 30 from midfield up. Everybody else should be young player full of energy and hunger. Maybe in this way we can cope better with Messi's poor movement and his almost non-existent defensive contribution. But if we are stacked with veterans in every compartment, like Vidal, Rakitic, Busi, Suarez, Pique, teams we'll overrun us again like even Roma did. From the veterans only Vidal is acceptable in terms of physical output, despite his age and the fact that he is also past it compared to versions from Juve and even Bayern. Every other veteran is lacking speed, energy, work-rate, power, hunger to win, even professionalism.

Barcelona has lost 140 m. from this corona-virus pandemic crisis and I don't see how they can arrange any trade for them since neither, PSR or Inter wants our players included in the deal. They are asking for straight cash. 175 m. for Ney and 111 m. for Laut. How do we get this money, when nobody wants Dembele, Coutinho, Griezmann, Umtiti and Rakitic ??? Every European top teams know in what situation is Barca at the moment, besides the pandemic situation. Even team like Juventus wants 24 y.o. Arthur for their crap Pjanic (30) who has not drown any interest from other clubs. So how can we get Neymar or Martinez?

I stopped responding to him when he revealed he is a fan of both Barcelona AND Liverpool. Of course you can support a big club and a local club but supporting two big clubs is textbook glory hunting lol. Weird "coincidence" too that it happens to be the most successful club of the last 15 years and the current best club.

neymar is too hard to get, injury prone and might come here just for the city/weather. also too old, so no resale value.

Neither but if forced to buy one of them it will be Lautaro, Neymar is aproaching 30s and his metatarsal injury could receed anytime thus ending his high level career for sure. There are just tons of reasons of not wanting him back, he's not 25 anymore.
