"He'd be a perfect strategic marketing operation," enthused Barca financial director Javier Faus.
"But Barca always prioritizes the sport over economics. As (sports director Andoni) Zubizarreta said, Neymar is a Santos player until 2014 so we have nothing more to say."
He just came in third in the Brazilian league player of the year award, behind Deco and Dinho.
Yeah, he's going nowadays more of the Pele route, pawning 2nd and 3rd division teams with Santos, and touring with Brazil in Harlem Globetrotters style.I'm a bit surprised that Neymar has only scored 12 goals in 36 league games... It makes him the joint 6:th top scorer, 5 goals behind Luís Fabiano and 7 behind the top scorer, Fred. Ronaldinho has scored 10.
Edit: Neymar's wikipedia page says that he's scored 12 goals in 14 games... but according to the Brazilian FA's site there's been 36 games already... Has he really missed about 20 games?
