Official Board Agree To CVC Deal

It wouldnt come down to playing kids it would be selling highest value players and trying to find cheaper alternatives that can compete at certain level for now.

Four highest probably Araujo, FDJ, Gavi and Pedri.

Say got close to 300m for those 4 and have Christensen, Kessie, Torre to come in and replace three of them for example and even like a Soler for 20m odd or someone else around that mark.

Selling those 4 is literally the worst idea ever and I won't even explain why. What the hell man?

Against alternative of club being handicapped for 40 years. Dont agree.

Why do you think that CVC deal would handicap Barca for 40 years. There are multiple ways to earn money not just trough TV rights. The same story is with Barca studios. In the end 51% of something is way better than 100% of nothing. I personally believe that a great team will always find a way to earn some additional buck for the club. In contrast, an average one will shrink our finances even further.

Don't say anything just be silent give it time, people are crazy, 90% of those who are now saying the deal is bad, are the same ones who were saying we should have signed last summer.

They tried for 12 months to come up with a work around & came to the conclusion that the club is in an existential crisis & we have no choice right now but to sign the shitty deal that is in front of us.

It's was bad the moment it was announced, as was clear as day, day one it was announced, it's bad now, but sacrifices had to be made if we want to remain competitive in the slightest.

Same set of fans who are saying it's a bad deal now, are the same ones who said we should have signed then, would also be the same ones who say we are so so shit. When we start next season with the exact team we have now. Perhaps minus Frankie and no means to register a few free signs we made.

At some point they will realize signing the deal wasn't just about signing a few 30 year olds, but stabilizing the club has a whole, bartomeu put us 1b in the hole, there is no easy solution to fix it.

It is one thing to cede away 10% of our TV rights under the CVC deal like most other clubs have done, it is entirely different when we give up 25% of our future TV rights, more than half of which is done on unknown terms. Too much future money to give away for what? Being competitive for trophies in the next couple of years? Is that worth it?

Things have changed, the terms have gotten drastically worse than last summer.

Because it is being said to be tv money over 40 years.

Same with Barca Studios.. more money out although rumours could put in place ability to claw it back.

It's funny how people want a competitive squad who could be able to compete with Real, City, Bayern, Lpool, Chelsea and PSG but than those same people oppose to any viable solution. Money won't fall from the tree and we are broke as it gets so we can either do something or sell our entire quad and accept the fact that we won't be able to compete for anything significant during the next decade. I personally don't give a fuck what this board will do as long as this club finds a way to compete for major trophies once again.

Because as usual, most fans, especially international fans only care about trophies and bragging rights and not the long term well being of the club.

Has it ever crossed your mind that by not signing this the club will also be screwed long term, in fact it would probably happen much sooner

25% but we are also getting more money, don't say 25% as if it's still the same cash we will be getting.

Because we are guaranteed to receive a great chunk of money (40m plus based on Laporta's own calculations and that figure will only grow) less every year than our main competitors, especially Madrid. That is a lot of money to give away, it might not completely handicap us and paralyze us but think about it, when Madrid will always (well, in the next 50 years or so) receive that much more money than us, they have much more money and resources to spend on everything, they have a better chance to build a competitive team than us, at least on paper.

No the opportunity is there to rebuild and wouldnt be 'screwed' either.

The brand of Barca is huge and it would be a few years of rebuilding to go again and have a future of less ties financicially.
