he played the first leg against madrid and what was the outcome? we can't mention last year, because like dembele he's always injured. and he BARELY advanced to the quarter finals against an inexperienced dortmund side.

that's neymar's resume from 25-28. now go compare that to ronaldo and messi at similar ages instead of measuring him up against dembele.

dembele could've remain injury free these past three seasons and he still shouldn't have been able to compare with a neymar. that guy left barca to take the mantle of messi and ronaldo, and yet those guys still remain atop of the footballing world despite being washed up because neymar's post barca career has been just as embarrassing as dembele's here. ahahahaha

To be fair He got injured before the important CL matches. SO we will never know if he could have influenced his team past that stage those past two years.

Hopefully year 23 is healthy for this guy.

Still hoping we can see an extended period of time where he stays healthy.

Most electric player on the team after Messi.

Happy b-day to Dembouz.

I was excited when he was come to Barcelona.
Now...Not anymore.

Hope so he can make one season without injuries so we see real magic.

no, he got injured in the first leg against madrid and surrendered the lead. in fact, they played in the second leg without him

he missed the utd game, and now just recently scrapped out a victory against an inexperienced dortmund side. <<< that's neymar's shining moment since he left barca hahahaha

so instead of gloating over the fact neymar > 23 year old dembele (because that's supposedly such an achievement, lol), why dont you reflect over the fact that when you compare his past three seasons to messi and ronaldo when they were 25-28 it's been downright horrendous and hilarious that he was even considered the heir to those players ahahaha

I agree. He makes mistakes, quite many, but still creates danger with utmost ease. His problems are injuries, whatever the reason may be (probably shared blame for the club and player as well). If he stays fit, he can turn this around. Not too late. But god damn man, stay fit.

Our fitness staff must work better as well, a lot of articles came out that we did not take into account the profile of training Dembele needs, which is personalized for sprinter type, with quick bursts of high energy sprints. A player like that needs a different training than someone like Rakitic. His muscles need to take a lot more strain, intensity and tension over a very short period. You wouldn't care for a fast sports car the same way you'd care for a family car would you?

It is highly suspicious how at Dortmund and Rennes he never had any real issue, and at Barca he can't get over them.

Well, don't most agree that Neymars transfer to PSG has been a sporting failure? I think most do agree.
That said, I think most would take a straight swap between him and Dembele right, now - wouldn't you?
Even with Dembeles potential and Neymars injuries?
Both players injury-records has become Vermaelen-like, so you can't ever bet on them being fit for important games.
In Neymars case that could be due to his constant being kicked/fouled over the years, but it could also be a case of livin' la vida loca in Paris/Brazil.
It's actually hard to say if that would change, where he to come back, since a huge paycut (37M-->24M) won't be easy for a money-loving star like him.
Therefore it is not entirely stupid to expect him to be more motivated, hardworking and with better lifestyle back at barca to be able to win the CL, which must be the goal for him.

Honestly the only real winners in whole Neymar shitshow are Dortmund and Liverpool. Pretty funny considering he was by far the most expensive player ever.

People act like Neymar is injury prone, he's legit only had like 2 major injuries since PSG move and it's just none fractured which don't impact him in the long term

During his career he has been more and more injured, adding something like 1 month to his absence due to injuries each season. That is worrying when he starts to reach the tipping point of his prime years.

And dude, it's nearly half of his possible PSG-games he has been out for since he came. That's a lot, and what you call injury-prone.

Dude, nearly 30, brazilian, likes to party, garbage entourage, likely to become chief Amigo in less than 2 seasons if we sign him. Connecting already? Stop it with Neymar. What long term. Let PSG milk his last 2-3 years of football and deal with all the fuss around him.

Plus, the 'shitting the bed' in CL ties started in Lucho's last season with Neymar in the team. He's not a guarantee of anything. So, it's not like we sign Neymar and we're a lock to win at least 1 of the next 2 CLs.
